$25K Matching Donations To Monastery Fire Victims

As of 11 a.m. Sunday, 18 people/families have lost their homes, but there are numerous more people that have been displaced by the over 4,200-acre fire that started on Highway 97 Wednesday, Sept. 7. One hundred four structures are confirmed to be burned in total.

All of the money that is donated to the Klickitat Valley Fire Victims Fund will be dispersed equally to those that have lost their homes, as well as to people who had to evacuate.

The Challenge:

Western Pacific Timber has donated $25,000 already. They have challenged the community to match that contribution. If they do, Western Pacific Timber will donate an additional $25,000. You have until Friday, Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. to donate for the challenge. Any donations made after that will not be included in the tally, but will still go to the Monastery Fire victims.

You can also donate in person at 327 W Brooks St, Goldendale. Call (509) 773-4246 for more information.

Your donation is tax deductible. Klickitat Valley Fire Victims Fund's EIN number will appear on your receipt upon printing.
