Rise Of The Global Police State

'The data being collected by the NSA, FBI and DHS is being converted to technological weapons against the American public. This surveillance will undoubtedly be used as criminal evidence for trial.

The inception of the NSA-GCHQ ECHELON system with the immensely profitable Surveillance Industrial Complex has become a technologically advanced interception system, as journalist Nicky Hager predicted in 1996.

ECHELON was designed to extract massive amounts of data indiscriminately. A covert system of interception facilities was built to spy on the world’s satellites, international telecommunication, and radio communications. ECHELON was the link between all these and provided the US government with high-tech surveillance capabilities for its time.'

Syphilitic Sociopaths Behind Green Deception

'History reveals it is mostly by blood that the genealogy of power is secured throughout the ages. And all those unrelated to the head snakes, have been royally approved to do evil in their name. A cast of sociopaths commanding a tribe of psychopaths. It is no coincidence that all the usual suspects appear prominently on the membership list of Bilderberg. Needless to say they rarely miss a meeting.

Products of centuries of intermarrying between families, the questionable art of breeding human livestock has been cultivated to its extreme by different royal houses of (mostly) German descent festering over the European continent for many a century. As a result, this unholy, age-old cesspool of interbreeding gave birth to the most malicious type of human imaginable: the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha chieftain.

Drawing from such a disturbingly limited gene pool, this ancient tree produced a peculiar ruthless sort of individual- first draft of the clinical sociopath. Combine this ruthlessness with some repulsive physiological features in outward appearance, and what you get is the European blue-blood par excellence.'

Zombie Diet Plan

Do you know anyone who is on the Zombie Diet Food Plan? As you stop to ponder that question, let me assure you that you do. You just might not realize it at this moment. But I promise, by the end of this article, you will have that person in mind. But before I begin, we need to set the ground work.

Zombie 101 – Zombies are undead. They are not a functioning human, with mental capacity to think, talk, manipulate fine motor skills or plan. They are not dead either. They are undead; living, breathing, walking, gross motor moving with the basic need to feed. And what do Zombies like to eat? Well the answer to that would be brains! And that’s where the Zombie Diet Food Plan comes in.

No one likes to diet. Come on, yes there are health benefits. But the idea of going without is too much for many to let that diet last any real length of time. Now, this goes the same for those pesky zombies. Although zombies are undead, they still have to eat. Do you think they really want to diet? No way!

The fact is though, that there are many zombies going to have to diet during the apocalypse because there are so many people without brains!

Have you noticed that lately? What is it? Is it the mind numbing video games? The GMO food? The solar activity? The lack of good music? I run into so many people that I just want to slap some sense into them. But it wouldn’t work, because they couldn’t understand why I was slapping them!

Thinking seems to be way overrated now. Maybe it’s the Google effect? People just want the quick search engine answer and then move on. There is no true effort put into what we think, and as a result, into our actions. Don’t even get me started on taking responsibility for our actions!

No, taking responsibility for our actions is a whole other article. Now, we need a plan…a critical thinking plan!

In my second year of teaching, my district introduced a four step process in solving Math word problems (all our Math is taught in word problems). We hated it because we were supposed to grade the process and not necessarily the answers. This made Math subjective, when it is black and white.

We fought through that first year and figured out the grading portion. But what I learned outside of Math, because of the four step process, was telling. In one parent conference, I discussed having to use the four step process in Math, but how it was no different than what we should do in life to solve any problem, not only Math. One parent agreed and said that his daughter seemed to be making better decisions lately. Was it a little bit of maturing or was it using the four step process everyday to answer Math word problems that seeped into her thinking process?

If you would like to know what the process consists of…it’s simple: the main idea, details, strategy and the how. Here’s how it breaks down.

The Main Idea – What is the problem asking? What are you trying to solve for?

The Details – What are the important facts about this problem? What do you know? What is missing?

The Strategy – This is the part where you try to work out the solution by considering the Main Idea and Details. You might be adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, measuring, etc…

The How – It is important to verbalize/write down how you solved your answer. When you are able to verbalize your answer, you truly understand the problem and know that you didn’t just guess. The How should link back to the Main Idea.

Can this process be used for thinking through more complex problems? Yes! In fact, we do it everyday, when we critically think through our problems. We just need to make sure we aren’t too lazy to go through the process…. And that is exactly what happened. As a Math teacher, the students who didn’t do the four step process easily made silly mistakes.

They left out important information and didn’t consider what the question really wanted. One of my responses to students when they told me they couldn’t understand a problem was to first do the Main Idea and Details before I helped them. You see, you shouldn’t go jumping in to every problem without taking the time to find out what you’re really looking for, what you know and what other pieces of information are available.

What would happen if we looked at the major issues facing our world today with a four step process? Maybe we can teach our politicians and leaders what elementary students already know how to do!

Peace Officer Or Law ENFORCEMENT?

Regina Tasca is a "rogue cop" – and God bless her for it.

Tasca is in the middle of disciplinary hearings that may result in her termination from the Bogota, New Jersey Police Department. She stands accused of "bizarre and outlandish" behavior in two incidents a year ago during which she revealed herself to be "A danger to other police officers."

Her first supposed offense – which wasn't mentioned until after the second – was a failure to assist another officer who was "attacked" by a drunken woman who was roughly half his weight and barely five feet tall. Her second was was to intervene when a police officer from another jurisdiction viciously assaulted an emotionally troubled young man who was not suspected of a crime.

"I consider myself a peace officer," Tasca told Pro Libertate. "My thing is to help make sure that people are safe, and that they don’t have a reason to fear the police – that we treat them like human beings. The incident that started all of this was one in which I intervened to prevent excessive force against a kid who was the subject of a medical call, not a criminal suspect."

On April 29, 2011, Tasca was on patrol when she got a call for medical assistance. Former Bogota Council Member Tara Sharp, concerned about the erratic behavior of her 22-year-old son Kyle, called the police to take him to the hospital for a psychological evaluation. Requesting police intervention, particularly in cases of this kind, is never a good idea. Sharp was exceptionally fortunate that Officer Tasca was the first to respond: She has years of experience as an EMT and had just completed specialized training on situations involving psychologically disturbed people.

Once on the scene, Tasca acted quickly to calm down the distraught young man.

"When the call came, I heard that a couple of officers from Ridgefield Park were coming to provide backup, which I thought was OK, Tasca related to Pro Libertate. "Kyle had been shouting and swearing when I got there, but I got him calmed down." The young man’s mood changed abruptly when he saw the other officers arrive.

"He noticed them and asked me, `Why is there another police officer here from another town?’ Then he said that he was leaving, and he moved maybe two or three steps when one of the Ridgefield officers jumped him."

Sgt. Chris Thibault tackled Kyle, wrapped him in a bear hug, and attempted to handcuff him. Within an instant, Sgt. Joe Rella piled on and began to slug Kyle in the head while his horrified mother screamed at the officers to stop.

Tasca instinctively did what any legitimate peace officer would do: She intervened to protect the victim, pulling Rella off the helpless and battered young man. Eventually the Ridgefield officers handcuffed Kyle – then turned their fury on Tasca.

"One of them yelled at me, `We can’t have this!’" she recalled. "I said, we `can’t have’ what? There was no reason to take that kid to the ground and start slugging him. This was a medical assistance call, and the mother was sitting their screaming at them to stop beating on their son. I didn’t fail to aid another officer; I acted to stop a beatdown."

Two days later, Tasca was summoned by her captain, who informed her that she was being suspended pending a disciplinary hearing. She learned that in addition to "using force" to stop Rella’s assault on Kyle Sharp, Tasca was accused of failing to assist Bogota Officer Jerome Fowler when he was "assaulted" by an intoxicated woman on April 3.

"Nobody had said anything to me about the earlier case until after the incident with the Ridgefield officers," Tasca pointed out to me.

Tasca was on night patrol when she came across "this young girl walking in the middle of the street, crying, with one broken heel. She was very drunk, and the officer who had picked her up had just dropped her off at the apartment of somebody who was described as a `male friend’ – but practically nothing was known about this guy.

He just left her there without finding out anything about the situation at that apartment; she could have been assaulted, raped, or killed. Whoever it was, he just threw her back out on the street – which actually might have been the best outcome. So she was crying hysterically and very distraught when I found her. I radioed HQ that I would be assisting her, and the officer who had picked her up arrived, and we went to the hospital with me carrying her in the back seat of my police car."

The young woman was taken to the Emergency Room at Holy Name Medical Center.

"Once we got there, our job was done," Tasca continues. "I stuck around for a little while to make sure everything was OK. There were about a half-dozen hospital security personnel on the scene, as well as about four or five EMTs and nurses there. The girl walked over to the nurse’s station, then decided that she didn’t want to go to the hospital. When Jay [Officer Fowler] reached for her, she started flailing her arms, and hit his hand, opening up an old cut he had on one of his knuckles."

This was the "assault" that figures so prominently in the charges against Tasca. The officers who ganged up on Kyle Sharp have not been charged or subjected to administrative discipline – but Tasca’s refusal to help ground and pound a tiny, intoxicated woman who had made incidental contact with a fellow officer is being treated as a career-imperiling delinquency.

"Apparently, Jay believed I should have pushed all these people aside and help him subdue a tiny girl – she was about five foot one, and very skinny – who had given him a scratch," Tasca pointed out.

After being put on suspension, Tasca was subjected to a psychological evaluation by Dr. Matthew Geller, a psychiatrist who does contact work for New Jersey law enforcement agencies. Geller provided the diagnosis he had been paid for, ruling that Tasca was unfit for duty. At the same time, the Bogota PD’s internal affairs officer produced a report concluding that Tasca’s refusal to assist Officer Fowler in the April 3 incident demonstrated her unfitness.

The internal affairs review wasn’t exactly a model of investigative rigor, Tasca observes: "There were nearly a dozen other people who witnessed the incident – and the only one he interviewed was a 14-year-old Ambulance Corps volunteer who happened to be his niece!"

Tasca, an openly gay female police officer, believes that at least some of the problems she’s experienced are the product of a cultural clash with what she describes as "the Old Boys Club." More importantly, however, she has been targeted for the unforgiveable offense of "crossing the Blue Line" by taking the side of a Mundane being attacked by a member of the Brotherhood.

"I’ve been an officer here in Bogata for eleven years, and spent seven or eight years as a Class 2 Special Officer in Fairview, which is where I grew up," Tasca told Pro Libertate. "Until now, I’ve never had problems with anybody on the force, or anybody in the community. Oh, sure, when you work near people for ten or twelve hours every day, you’ll have disagreements and maybe say some things you shouldn’t, but that’s typical of just about any relationship, professional or otherwise. But never in my career had I been accused of unfitness for duty until after that incident a year ago.

As a veteran with nearly twenty years in law enforcement, Tasca has noticed a dramatic change in the institutional culture of law enforcement in recent years.

"I think what we’re seeing is a lot of kids who are given power and immediately begin to abuse it," Tasca observes. "Some of these guys are as young as 18 years old. You give them a uniform, and it goes right to their head. And even many of those that don’t do abusive things miss the point, which is that we’re supposed to be peace officers. They get a badge and a gun and they think they’re gods, or at least that they’re entitled to treat people like dirt. I see them as people, and insist on treating them like I’d want to be treated."

In contemporary law enforcement, commitment to the Golden Rule is a firing offense. Just ask Ramon Perez, whose experience is strikingly similar to that of Regina Tasca.

Perez, a probationary officer who had won the top leadership award at his police academy, was cashiered by the Austin, Texas Police Department as a result of his refusal to use a Taser on an elderly, non-violent man during a domestic disturbance in January 2005. The order was unconstitutional, illegal, a violation of the guidelines in the department’s handbook and, most importantly, immoral.

A few days after that incident, Perez was given a punitive transfer to the night shift. Two months later, Perez was told to report to APD psychologist Carol Logan to undergo what he was told would be a "communication" exercise. In fact, it was a disguised "fit-for-duty review" intended to ratify the pre-ordained decision to fire him.

Logan’s four page report focused entirely on Perez's moral and religious beliefs. Perez is a self-described non-denominational fundamentalist Christian, an ordained minister who home-schools his children. He is also firmly convinced that protection of civil liberties is the paramount duty of a peace officer – a duty he regarded, literally, as a sacred trust.

According to Logan, the depth of his commitment to his beliefs – beginning with that perennially unpopular tenet called the Golden Rule – produces an "impairment" of his ability to absorb new facts, to communicate with his superiors, and to deal with "feedback."

As was the case with Regina Tasca, Ramon Perez’s detractors dredged up a second incident of "misconduct" involving a refusal to use unnecessary force.

By twice displaying a peace officer’s preference for de-escalation, Perez had established himself as a repeat offender. He was purged from the APD, a department that has since done much to distinguish itself – in the face of fierce and plentiful competition – as one of the most abusive in the country.

A vast geographic and cultural gulf separates Ramon Perez, a Fundamentalist Evangelical from Texas, and Regina Tasca, an openly gay Roman Catholic from New Jersey. They have at least one critically important thing in common: Both of them intervened in defense of helpless citizens facing criminal violence from fellow cops, and learned that for people who have chosen a career in law enforcement, behaving like a peace officer is a firing offense.

Small Wholesome Family Farms Being Destroyed By Industrial Ag

An entire way of life is rapidly dying right in front of our eyes. The family farm is being systematically wiped out of existence in America, and big agribusiness and the federal government both have blood all over their hands. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the number of farms in the United States has fallen from about 6.8 million in 1935 to only about 2 million today. That doesn't mean that there is less farming going on. U.S. farms are producing more than ever. But what it does mean is that farming is increasingly becoming dominated by the big boys. The rules of the game have been tilted in favor of big agribusiness so dramatically that most small farmers find that they simply cannot compete anymore. Back in 1900, about 39 percent of the U.S. population worked on farms. At this point, only about 2 percent of all Americans now live on farms. Big agribusiness, the food processing conglomerates, and big seed companies such as Monsanto completely dominate the industry. Unless something dramatic is done, the family farm is going to continue to be wiped out of existence. Unfortunately, it does not look like things are going to turn around any time soon.

The way that the farming industry is structured today, it is simply not economically feasible to operate a small family farm. According to Farm Aid, every week approximately 330 farmers leave their land for good.

Many old timers are trying to hang on for as long as they can. A very large percentage of family farmers are in their fifties, sixties or seventies at this point. Today, only about 6 percent of all farmers are under the age of 35.

Most young people these days are not too eager to choose farming as a career. A lot of young adults that grew up on family farms have decided that investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in a business that requires you to work 12 hours or more per day most of the year for very meager wages is simply not worth it.

In recent years, many family farmers have been forced to find second jobs in order to support their families. Many farm families are constantly on the verge of financial ruin. It is a really tough life for many of them.

Sadly, less than 25 percent of all farms in America bring in gross revenues in excess of $50,000. The following comes from the EPA website....

It has been estimated that living expenses for the average farm family exceed $47,000 per year. Clearly, many farms that meet the U.S. Census' definition would not produce sufficient income to meet farm family living expenses. In fact, fewer than 1 in 4 of the farms in this country produce gross revenues in excess of $50,000.

On top of everything else, the federal government and many state governments just keep endlessly piling more rules and regulations on to the backs of farmers.

Big agribusiness has the resources to deal with all of these regulations fairly well, but most family farms do not.

With each passing year, the farming industry becomes even more centralized. If current trends continue, big agribusiness will eventually control nearly all of it. The following is from the EPA website....

By 1997, a mere 46,000 of the two million farms in this country accounted for 50% of sales of agricultural products (USDA, 1997 Census of Agriculture data). That number was down from almost 62,000 in 1992.

In certain industries the amount of consolidation has been absolutely stunning. For example, between 1970 and today the United States has lost 88 percent of its dairy farms.

Another factor that is shaping the farming business is the incredible power that the giant food processing conglomerates have accumulated.

Today, there are 10 corporations that control most of the things that Americans eat and drink on a daily basis. If you doubt this, just check out this chart.

The giant food processing conglomerates have a massive amount of influence over how food is grown in the United States today. Small farmers that try to go against the tide often have a very rough go of it.

That is also true when it comes to seeds.

For example, approximately 80 percent of all corn grown in the United States is grown using seeds that have been genetically modified by Monsanto.

If you want to try to defy companies such as Monsanto, you are playing a very dangerous game. The predatory business practices of Monsanto have been well documented. Monsanto has taken countless numbers of farmers to court, and they are absolutely ruthless.

Plus, it certainly does not help that there is a constant revolving door between Monsanto and federal government agencies. If you doubt this, just check out the chart about Monsanto on this page.

Amazingly, in spite of all this there are still some small farmers that are able to overcome all of these obstacles and run successful businesses.

But that is where the federal government comes in.

In recent years, the federal government has become absolutely obsessed with going after small farmers.

For example, a recent Food Freedom News article detailed what the feds have been doing to Randy and Karen Sowers. They were keeping their cash deposits under $10,000 so that they would not have to fill out a bunch of paperwork, and the federal government came down on them like a hurricane....

“Structuring,” explains Overlawyered.com, “is the federal criminal offense of splitting up bank deposits so as to keep them under a threshold such as $10,000 above which banks have to report transactions to the government.”

While being questioned, the Sowers were finally presented with a seizure order and advised that the feds had already emptied their bank account of $70,000. The Dept. of Justice has since sued to keep $63,000 of the Sowers’ money, though they committed no crime other than maintaining their privacy.

Without funds, they will be unable to make purchases for the spring planting.

When a similar action was taken against Taylor’s Produce Stand last year, the feds seized $90,000, dropped the charges, and kept $45,000 of Taylor’s money.

Knowing that most farms operate on a very thin margin, such abuse of power wipes out a family’s income, and for a bonus, the feds enhance the monopoly power of Monsanto, Big Dairy and their supply chain.

At many other small farms across America, the feds have conducted military-style raids at the crack of dawn over the smallest infractions.

Some examples of this were detailed in a documentary entitled "Farmaggedon". The following is a short trailer for that film....

The sad truth is that the federal government has been using your tax money to go after small farmers in absolutely vicious ways.

For example, the feds raided one Amish farm at 5 AM one morning.

So what was the big crime that the feds were so concerned about?

Well, the Amish farm was selling raw milk.

Oh the horror!

The feds seem content to leave big agribusiness pretty much alone, but they are constantly going after small farms in hundreds of different ways.

Did you know that the Department of Labor is instituting new regulations that will ban children from doing many kinds of farm chores?

Just another way to kill off the family farm in America.

America is changing, and not for the better.

Just like the middle class, the family farm is heading for extinction.

Eventually, the big corporations and the federal government will have near total control over food production in America.

Geo Engineering By Dumping Tons Of Heavy Metals Over Us

The U.S. and many NATO countries are spraying in order to save the planet from runaway global warming,” says well-known geo-engineer.
Those aren’t just raindrops falling on our heads (Part 1)
By Climatologist Cliff Harris

A short time ago, a concerned reader of my column named Bob (no last name given) dropped off a DVD entitled, “What in the World are They Spraying?” It was produced by G. Edward Griffin and narrated by journalist Michael J. Murphy.

I, of course, was suspicious at first of this Truth Media tape, but actually watched it twice and took 14 pages of notes. The evidence was clear.

This DVD claims that many areas of the U.S., Canada, Europe and elsewhere are being sprayed almost on a daily basis by ‘chemtrails’ of toxic heavy metals, particularly aluminum. These are not the normal quickly dispersed jet ‘contrails’ as often seen.

These chemtrails are composed of tiny glass fibers coated with light-reflective aluminum that are intended to bounce many of the sun’s rays back into space with the express purpose of cooling the planet. The chemtrails often cover the sky from horizon-to-horizon.

Aluminum has four times the volumetric capacity of sulfur dioxide particles. It’s very inexpensive and the coagulation rate is extremely low.

David Keith, a well-known geoengineer from the University of Calgary, said recently in a San Diego Climate Seminar, “the U.S. and many NATO countries are spraying in order to save the planet from runaway global warming.”

It is the opinion of this climatologist that these reckless climate scientists, their greedy corporate sponsors and money-hungry geoengineers are PLAYING GOD. They are spending precious taxpayer dollars on these risky schemes without our permission or congressional approval for the most part. Follow the money and you’ll always find the culprits.

What they are doing is VERY DANGEROUS! Thus far, they haven’t seen success. Our weather is worse than ever. Just look at all the tornadoes, the massive floods, the choking droughts, the ‘rare’ Hawaii hailstorm last month and this month’s worst lightning storm in recorded history in San Francisco.

When asked about the possible harmful effects of dumping 10 MILLION MEGATONS of aluminum and other heavy metals on an unsuspecting population, the evasive Mr. Keith said this in a futile attempt to be humorous;

“We don’t know yet about any harmful side effects. We’re taking our chances for possible good results. One might say that we’re ‘free-riding’ on the future health of our grandkids.” (Well, Mr. Keith, the joke is apparently on these kids!)

As former State Senator from Arizona, Karen Johnson, says on the tape, “this toxic spraying in the stratosphere eventually precipitates aluminum and other heavy metals on our trees, plants, animals, humans and our critical water supplies.”

She at least partially blames the skyrocketing cases of Alzheimers, dementia and strokes on the extremely elevated levels of cadmium, mercury and aluminum in recent blood, urine and hair samples of older adults.

Senator Johnson also points out that even young children have had their hair samples showing extremely elevated levels of aluminum and other toxic heavy metals that could possibly be the cause of rapidly increasing autism.

Aluminum in high concentrations can clog arteries. It is likewise known to be a carcinogen. It has a ‘half life’ of decades. (My wife quit using aluminum cookware and other utensils many years ago due to the added risks to our health.)

Johnson also points out that “millions of trees are dying in the Far West from beetle infestations and high heavy metal concentrations that are “off the charts.”

Trees that contain high levels of aluminum literally “explode like roman candles” during forest fires which have consumed millions of acres of the Far West in recent years.

Speaking of the Far West, don’t drink the snowmelt runoff water from once pristine Mt. Shasta. It’s highly contaminated by heavy metals, especially aluminum.

According to water and solar expert, Dave Wigington, “there is a mountain of toxic material in the Shasta area resulting from the high altitude spraying and the resulting chemtrails and artificial cloud layers that precipitate heavy metals daily.”

Recent water samples have shown levels of aluminum as high as 61,000 parts per billion compared with the normal of just 1,000 parts per billion. That’s 61 times more aluminum than the government allows for safe drinking! And, that doesn’t count the 83 parts per billion of toxic barium or the 383 parts per billion of strontium. (Remember the Strontium 90 scare of the 1950s in our milk supposedly caused by China?)

Francis Mangels, a Lake Shasta biologist, claims that the Ph factors of soil samples taken recently in his part of the country have “skyrocketed to more than ten times the normal of 5.5 to 5.6!”

His ponds are only fed by rainwater, no springs. They are ‘dangerously polluted’ by heavy metals, especially aluminum. Most of the fish and insects have died.

Mangels added, “we should remember that our government bombarded North Vietnam 40 years ago with Agent Orange and other very toxic chemicals. Now, they’re experimenting on us.” (Their eventual goal is apparently ‘to own the weather,’ in my opinion.)

It’s been often said that “the nation that controls the weather will rule the world.” The ‘race is on,’ folks.

Tasered To Death ~ Should We All Fear Escalating Police Brutality?

HFCS Causes Obesity

High-fructose corn syrup is just one food ingredient, among many others, that virtually every health advocate will tell you to avoid. The Corn Refiners Association (CRA), a large organization that represents the corn refining industry, continues to assert that high-fructose corn syrup is completely safe and perfectly ‘natural’, but many health experts and research results couldn’t disagree more.

One contribution high-fructose corn syrup is making to our society is a startling increase in obesity rates. Scientists have repeatedly proven that heavily altered (and often genetically modified) form of fructose, used in thousands of food products and soft drinks, can negatively impact human metabolism and is contributing to the growing obesity epidemic.
High-Fructose Corn Syrup Alters Human Metabolism

For quite some time, high-fructose corn syrup was thought to be perfectly healthy by some individuals, and the ingredient rampantly consumed in high amounts internationally. But research shows that high-fructose corn syrup changes human metabolism, and is actually metabolized much differently than other sugars.

HFCS is a highly processed product that contains nearly the same amount of fructose and glucose. Sucrose, however, is a larger sugar molecule that is metabolized into glucose and fructose in your intestine. High-fructose corn syrup metabolizes to fat in your body much faster than other sugars, resulting in increased fat gain. Since the fructose is consumed in liquid form, the negative effects on human metabolism are even greater.

City Shuts Off Your Utlities For Failure To Pay Photo Tickets

With more and more vehicle owners simply deciding refuse to pay red light camera and speed camera tickets, private, for-profit companies and municipalities are growing increasingly desperate. America's second-largest city shut down its photo ticketing program last year largely because residents who could not afford the $500 citations did not pay them. On Monday, Las Cruces, New Mexico announced it would shut off the utilities of city residents who refused to pay Redflex Traffic Systems, the Australian company that owns and operates the cameras.

"The city is notifying offenders by mail that they have until the due date stated in the letter to pay the fines or make satisfactory payment arrangements," a Las Cruces press release warned. "Failure to comply will result in termination of utilities services."

Las Cruces claims vehicle owners owe $2 million. To encourage payment of the $100 photo fines, the city says it will employ an ordinance the council adopted in 1988 giving itself the right to shut off utility service to residents declared delinquent for any reason.

"The city may decline, fail or cease to furnish utility service to any person who may be in debt to the city for any reason, except ad valorem taxes and special assessments," city code Section 28-10 states.

The city provides gas, water, sewer and trash services. Ordinarily, the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission prevents shutting off the utilities of low-income residents from November 15 to March 15. This is primarily a safety issue as lack of heating during a cold snap -- Las Cruces recorded a -10 degree temperature in 1962 -- could endanger the elderly.

The commission also protects the seriously ill and customers on Medicaid or on assistance from a charitable organization. A spokesman for the commission, however, told TheNewspaper that no such protections apply to utilities run by a municipality. To have service restored, Las Cruces and its private vendor will charge a $48 re-connection fee on top of $125 per ticket.

Las Cruces gave Redflex approval to issue speeding and red light tickets three years ago. In January, a local university was unable to prove the program delivered a substantial safety benefit. Last year, a majority of voters in Albuquerque voted for the removal of red light cameras.

DOD Confirms Russian Troops To Conduct US Land Terror Drills

The Department of Defense has confirmed various foreign and alternative media reports that claimed Russia troops will be conducting unprecedented anti terrorism drills inside the United States.

In an email to the New American, Cmdr. Wendy L. Snyder, U.S. Defense Press Officer for policy confirmed the reports:

“The Russian soldiers are here as invited guests of the U.S. government; this is part of a formal bilateral exchange program between the U.S. and Russia that seeks to develop transparency and promote defense reform,” Cmdr. Wendy L. Snyder, U.S. Defense Press Officer for policy, told The New American in an e-mail. “This is the first time that American and Russian special operations troops have participated in a bilateral exercise.”

According to Snyder, the exercises — which she said would last about three weeks in all — will serve to train and improve skills related to terror-war fighting. About 20 Russian soldiers will be participating, with most of the training to take place on the Fort Carson, Colorado, Army base and a mountain training area several hours away.

“Aside from typical military training, the exchange will include discussions on the rule of land warfare, developing appropriate rules of engagement, and employing cultural literacy and competency in the tactical environment,” Snyder explained. “This type of training is routinely conducted by 10th Special Forces Group.”

The drills, which will take place throughout May, mark the first time that Russian and US troops will train along side each other on American soil and correlate with a long line of Foreign military’s training to take on the American people.

Interestingly, Russia is actually conducting a joint naval training exercise with Communist China at this very moment.

The armed forces of the Communist Chinese and Russian governments began a series of unprecedented joint naval “war games” over the weekend as part of a deepening “strategic partnership” between the two powers, sparking concerns among geopolitical analysts. The controversial exercises are expected to last all week.

Officials involved in the drills claimed the purpose of the so-called “Naval Cooperation-2012” scheme was to build up the capabilities of both militaries while facilitating future collaboration in confronting “regional threats.” The operations, taking place in the Yellow Sea, involve air defenses, anti-submarine warfare, electronic countermeasures, and unspecified “sensitive technologies.”

The above fact, coupled with claims that President Obama has taken Russian money to fund his campaign, have stoked fears over the use of foreign, communist military’s to take on the American people in a time of crisis.

Chernobyl 26 Year Anniversay Marks Cleanup Abandonment

April 26 will mark the 26th anniversary of the worst case of nuclear contamination in history: the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. Since the meltdowns at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant in March last year, the Japanese government has shown interest in decontamination and other projects around Chernobyl as a reference point for efforts to deal with its own nuclear disaster.

However in northern Ukraine, where the radioactive husk of the former Soviet power station lies, large-scale decontamination work has been abandoned as largely ineffective, and disaster refugees are no closer to going home.

I am a little less than 10 kilometers from the Chernobyl nuclear plant, in a warehouse-like building with a long, narrow trough for waste water cut into the floor. This is where workers clad in protective suits scrub down vehicles and heavy machinery that have gone into high-radiation areas. The scrubbing is done by hand, until the radiation emissions from the truck or the bulldozer drops below 0.5 microsieverts per hour.

Just after the 1986 disaster -- in which one of the Chernobyl plant's reactors exploded, blowing off the reactor housing roof and spewing radioactive material into the air -- Soviet authorities swung into a full-scale decontamination effort, including burying contaminated soil, and washing and then melting down contaminated machinery. However, in the 14 years between the disaster and the year 2000 -- when the last operating reactor at the plant was finally shut down -- authorities apparently judged that there had been "little improvement" in soil conditions, and they decided to halt soil decontamination.

The only decontamination operations going on now are for workers doing safety work in and around the dead plant, including decommissioning the reactors and preventing forest fires. There are currently about 3,700 people who work inside the 30-kilometer radius no-go area around the plant -- referred to simply as "the Zone" -- and they must have their clothes decontaminated periodically. During seasons when humidity is low, vehicles are typically washed one or two times a week, and roads near the plant are also scrubbed.

More than 110,000 people once lived in the Zone, all of whom were evacuated right after the accident. The Soviet authorities apparently attempted to decontaminate the town of Prypiat -- where Chernobyl plant workers and their families had lived -- soon after, but with no success.

Mr. Zolotoverkh, 58, who is in charge of managing the Zone, says there is no chance that decontamination will be resumed, adding, "No one will be allowed to return, not after decades, not after centuries."

About 110 kilometers southwest of the plant is the city of Korostyshiv, which the former Soviet government labeled an "evacuation advisory area" -- one of 440 residential communities given the designation. The Soviet Union established four categories for irradiated areas: forced evacuation areas, forced migration areas, evacuation advisory areas, and radiation management areas. Serious decontamination work in the advisory areas such as Korostyshiv did not begin until 1990, four years after the accident.

The municipal government, meanwhile, replaced the local top soil as well as the roof of every home and school in its jurisdiction. The city also paved over land that had been exposed to the Chernobyl fallout, including the front yard of 53-year-old housewife Ms. Valentina.

The municipal official in charge of the project emphasizes that the efforts resulted in a 50 percent drop in radiation in the 20 years after the accident. This has not, however, staunched a steady flow of people out of the city. Since 1990, Korostyshiv's population has dropped from about 80,000 to 67,000, though the city stresses that this is beginning to turn around.

Valentina's husband passed away from cancer in 2000 at just 48-years-old, and she says that many other members of her family have suffered damage to their health.

Regarding decontamination of homes, Ukrainian government radiation expert Mr. Tabachnyi says, "I can't say it's had any effect but to calm the fears of the residents," adding, "About $1 million was thrown into reducing radiation levels in Korostyshiv to 1 sievert or less per year. It was definitely not a cost-effective effort."

In June 1986, the Soviet government decided to allow residents back to parts of the forced migration areas that were relatively uncontaminated on a trial basis. Decontamination work was done, and the project drew up indices that would show whether the efforts could be applied to the clean-up of other areas. However, the authorities recognized that dangerous radioactive materials remained, and revoked permission for residents to return two years later.

Now, with buildings and infrastructure decaying, "there's almost no chance that permission to return will ever be given," says Tabachnyi, meaning the more than 10,000 Ukrainian "forced migrants" will probably never go home again.

On April 18 this year, Japan and the Ukraine finalized an agreement to share information on the countries' respective nuclear disasters, and the Japanese government is looking to learn "the lessons of Chernobyl" as it implements policy to contain the aftermath of the Fukushima meltdowns.

The scale of the two disasters, however, is different. The Chernobyl accident is thought to have released several times the radioactive material of the Fukushima disaster. The decontamination of agricultural lands -- a process that Japan has put so much faith into -- has been essentially abandoned around the Chernobyl plant, and there is increasing criticism that there is "no way Chernobyl can give any insight into the Japanese situation."

TSA Goons Pat Down 7 Year Old

The Transportation Security Administration is once again the subject of national scrutiny, this time after aggressively screening a 7-year-old female passenger with cerebral palsy which caused her family to miss their flight.

The girl, identified as Dina Frank in a report by The Daily, was waiting with her family on Monday to board a flight departing from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York headed to Florida.

Since Dina walks with the aid of leg braces and crutches, she cannot pass through airport metal detectors, and must instead submit to a pat-down by TSA agents.

Dina, who is also reportedly developmentally disabled, is usually frightened by the procedure. Her family reportedly requests that agents on hand take the time to introduce themselves to her.

However, the agents on duty at the time began to handle her aggressively instead.

Air travel is difficult to the family due to Dina’s disabilities, but the nature of Monday’s inspection was especially traumatic for the child.

“They make our lives completely difficult,” her father, Dr. Joshua Frank, a Long Island pediatrician, told The Daily. “She’s not a threat to national security.”

Frank taped the encounter, which ended when a supervisor inspected her crutches and let them pass. But agents followed up and insisted upon doing a full inspection of Dina.

Ultimately, the family missed their flight.

“They’re harassing people. This is totally misguided policy,” Frank told The Daily. “Yes, I understand that TSA is in charge of national security and there’s all these threats. [But] for her to be singled out, it’s crazy.”

Dina, from Long Island, had recently experienced triumph after Botox and phenol injections helped her to gain control of her legs, enough to take several unassisted steps.

After being born prematurely and suffering from bleeding in the brain, Dina struggled for years to get around, even enduring a double hip replacement to assist in her recovery, CBS New York reported.

UPDATE: The TSA issued a statement defending their decision to pat-down the girl.

“TSA has reviewed the incident and determined that our officers followed proper screening procedures in conducting a modified pat-down on the child,” the agency said.

Fluoride Warning Label Law In NH

ecently, the Senate has taken up an issue that may actually benefit the general public – this time specifically, it’s regarding the mass medication that is omnipresent in everyone’s water supply, sodium fluoride. The largest state legislature in the US recently passed a bill that requires all water bills to warn parents with infants of the dangers revolving around fluoride and water fluoridation- but only associated with infancy and excluding just about everyone else, to no great surprise.
Fluoride Exposure to Infants is Unhealthy, Water Fluoridation Persists

The warning reads as follows:

“Your public water supply is fluoridated. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, if your child under the age of 6 months is exclusively consuming infant formula reconstituted with fluoridated water, there may be an increased chance of dental fluorosis. Consult your child’s health care provider for more information.”

The primary cause for this action is because of a heightened risk of dental fluorosis in children – basically a fluoride overdose. What they don’t tell you is that the ‘medication’ also affects the many other organ compositions in your body, not just your teeth, and not just for infants. Generally the CDC will support water fluoridation but this action warning in particular strikes a chord with the agency, forcing it to admit that fluoridated water mixed with baby formula is dangerous for the teeth which are supposed to be developing.

The CDC’s website suggests that:

“Recent evidence suggests that mixing powdered or liquid infant formula concentrate with fluoridated water on a regular basis may increase the chance of a child developing … enamel fluorosis [...] in children younger than 8 years of age, combined fluoride exposure from all sources – water, food, toothpaste, mouth rinse, or other products – contributes to enamel fluorosis.”

This may be a step in the right direction, and thankfully New Hampshire is leading the charge with their recent mandate. Soon enough other states will take the reins into their own hands and change their own water fluoridation rules – at least that is the prevailing idea.

If you didn’t already know, there is a compiled list of facts that everyone should know about the so-called medication that everybody – infants and adults alike – are taking part of:

Since infants rely primarily on liquid foods and are very small in size, they receive the highest doses of fluoride if bottle-fed. Fluoride exposure could be as much as 175 more for a baby fed formula compared to a breast-fed baby.

In 1977, it was shown that water fluoridation caused about 10,000 cancer deaths in epidemiological studies by Dr. Dean Burk, former head of the Cytochemistry Section at the National Cancer Institute and Yiamouyiannis

Fluoride is not required by any bodily process.

Research conducted by the Cochrane Oral Health Group has yet again shown that fluoride supplements are ineffective at reducing tooth decay in primary teeth.

Water fluoridation can not replace adequate nutrition or lack of access to dental care, and therefore is not a sound solution in general.

Water fluoridation is a violation of your individual right to informed consent to medication.
The chemicals used to fluoridate water supplies are largely hazardous by-products of the fertilizer industry and have never been required to undergo randomized clinical trials for safety or effectiveness by any regulatory agency in the world.
Vitamin D rises above fluoride as a solution on how to prevent cavities.

Fluoride for purposes of reducing tooth decay is classified as an “unapproved drug” by the FDA.

Ingesting fluoride has been found to damage soft tissues (brain, kidneys, and endocrine system), as well as teeth (dental fluorosis) and bones (skeletal fluorosis).

Ca Smart Meter Opt Out Deadline May 1

Attention: if you are a PGE customer and still have a SMART meter you have until May 1st to Opt-Out!!! Do not wait…. Call now.

If you are a SoCal Edison customer you can opt out too!!! SoCal Edison just agreed last Thursday to an opt out plan! Please call and get your meter off. Even if you are not worried about the potential health risks these meters will be used to charge you for resource usage through the AB32 carbon cap n’ trade plan!!!
Call PG&E and OPT OUT Before May 1st . .
.Time is running out . .PG&E (800) 743-5000

You Must call whether you have an existing safe electric analog meter or a smart meter . . . Call NOW, If you want to HAVE a Safe Electric Meter . . Don’t “radiate” your neighbors . . .
YOUR POWER COMPANY IS NO LONGER YOUR FRIEND

You are being lied to, spied on and assaulted with cancer-causing radiation.

The new digital meters they are attempting to force on you are SURVEILLANCE DEVICES. That’s what “monitoring” means! They also emit intended and unintended microwave (electromagnetic radiation) pollution IN YOUR HOME all day long!

Most importantly, DO NOT let your children sleep, play or linger anywhere near these meters!

SAY NO to rationing of power, remote intermittent shut-offs of your power and penalties on your monthly bill for “bad energy-use behavior”!

SAY NO to the taking, stealing and hacking of data of YOUR LIVING HABITS AND PATTERNS.

This is why many are opting out and paying the extortion fees.

The smart meters bill on a tiered pricing scheme at time of use. They decide how much you will PAY during what times. And energy costs will soar. Also, you will not be radiated by the pulsed microwaves from the smart meter technology that will slice your DNA into some illness or worse.

You will keep your safe electric meter which you will not be forced to add the NEW RFID chipped appliances, too. The ultimate success of “The Grid” is to get ALL energy consumers to replace their old appliances (Large and small) and purchase all new appliances with RFID (spy) chips. Plus, being a good neighbor does mean you would not want to radiate them, 24/7/365 with the radiation from your meter. At some point they could file a law suit against you. . .
You will be charged an extortion fee by PG&E whether you have a smart meter right now or you still have your safe electric analog meter. Everyone will pay a $75.00 initial fee plus $10.00 per month. That’s a deal when you compare the tiered pricing and new appliance with the chips that the smart meters will demand. If you are on the PG&E CARE Program you only pay $10.00 initial fee and $5.00 per month. Just write a separate check for the fees and note on the memo “paid under protest” and “I do not agree with your contract.”

TV Mind Control

TV: Mind Control Programming Is Dangerous To Your Health
Posted on April 7, 2012

Truly, the HDTV (aka the Television or TV) and all the purposeful programming that goes with it should come with a warning label that reads like this:
CAUTION: Mind Control Programming Is Extremely Dangerous To Your Health

For those of us who have been privy to the true intentions and hidden purposes behind the proliferation of the television set, one common understanding became perfectly clear. As follows:

The TV has been transformed into the ultimate Weapon of Mass Deception.

So, there you have it. Now, do you still want to turn that idiot box on while you’re eating … napping … reading or exercising … sleeping or ….?

Let us make one very serious qualification before we continue this health coaching ‘rant’.
For those who are not addicted, and who truly are able to exercise self-control about what to watch, when to watch it, how long to watch, etc. have at it.
We know that in those cases the TV is only turned on when necessary — to check out inclement weather; to get details on a calamity that has affected friends, family or business associates; to watch a spiritual movie or informative piece on real history, among many other wholesome and good reasons to engage this medium.

In our experience, very, very few know how to exercise the discrimination necessary to shield themselves from the pap and piffle which dominate the TV-waves. This becomes especially critical when young, impressionable children are involved, as they often are.

Reality Check:

Much like the political realm, the integrity of television media can be described as follows:
“They’re lying whenever their lips are moving.”
Said another way: “If they’re moving their lips, you can be sure they’re not telling the truth.”

There goes all the news programs, news channels, talking head shows, TV guest interviewers, etc. Just knocked a LOT out of the box, didn’t we?!

What’s left? Infotainment!

Infotainment represents visual and audio pablum of the highest degree. Only those who are really bored with life would waste their time … and energy … and psychic space being entertained by such nonsensical programming.

Now what’s left? Watching and hearing the inside of the American version of the coliseum? Listening to the crash of collisions of the modern-day gladiators (football, basketball, baseball games) from the safe 10 foot distance on your couch? Do you have any idea how deeply ingrained the unhealthy and divisive competitiveness throughout all of American society has become … even among the grandmas and grandpas?

Even the young children are immersed in this inordinately mind-controlled frame of mind known as “win at all cost”. Whether it’s on the football field or fields of Iraq, all that ever seems to matter is winning. So strong is this facet of the mind control programming process that many of our strongest and sincerest young adults are stampeded into any war that’s been made to appear fashionable. This has been made very easy after herding so many in front of the TV set for generations.

So, what remains of television fare after those aforementioned have been sufficiently exposed for what they truly are and do … to our minds, our emotions, our bodies and our souls?!

TELEVISION AND THE HIVE MIND”

Now for the real juicy stuff about TV.
If ever there was a defining piece written about TV and what it’s really all about that would be TELEVISION AND THE HIVE MIND written by Mack White back in 2003.
Just a rudimentary understanding of the concepts which are advanced in this highly revelatory article ought to be sufficient enough to scare you off the couch for the rest of your lifetime. If they don’t, you’ve simply watched one to many sitcoms. Which means there’s only one antidote. (See “Humorous, But Serious Health Coaching Advice” below.)

There are two very interesting allegations about TV frequencies which have been circulating in certain circles for many years. There was a study posted on the internet many years ago exposing this quite sophisticated facet of the “TV Mind Control Program” agenda, but it has since disappeared along with the author. As follows:

I. Those who control TV frequencies at the point of origination can also beam through the wires and cables ELF (Extremely Low Frequencies) some of which are designed to target specific sites in the colon that quite predictably stimulate the urge to buy and impulse to spend. It doesn’t take very much imagination to understand how those advertisers, who keep the whole television industry afloat, would be well served by such a frequency manipulation, does it?!

II. Many of us initiated into the realm of ‘occult’ TV quite purposefully keep our TV unplugged when we are NOT watching it because the device can serve as a two way transmitter, not necessarily in the way that you receive reception, but in other much more clandestine and harmful ways. Also, in spite of the TV being turned off, those who control the frequencies can beam in whatever they want into your home without your knowledge as long as the TV is plugged in. As to what type of frequencies they are able to send into your home, we wonder ….?

How would you feel if someone was beaming energy into your living space without your consent and full understanding of the purpose?!

Conclusion:
The television set should always be unplugged when not being watched.
The TV should only be watched when there is truly inspired, uplifting, informative programming available.
Particular discretion should always be observed the younger the child. TV does not help the socialization process of children; on the contrary, it impedes the normal development of a healthy conscience, ethical behavior, and appropriate response to the challenges of life.

For many single people the TV has become a companion, a distraction, or familiar voice that chases away loneliness. In this way it can serve a vital purpose, but as always the type of programming selected should be seriously considered before hitting the remote.

The constant din of TV in the background at the airports, banks, restaurants, and especially homes represents an unfortunate social calamity which has plagued Western society for decades. Unplugging yourself from this ongoing catastrophe is really essential if you are to find peace. Because true peace can only be found in silence – silence within is more easily attained when there is silence without. Getting to that point does require that we cultivate a quiet living environment and wherever we go, work or play.

Is The USDA Your Friend & Concerned About Your Access To Fresh, Wholesome, Natural Food? Think Again!

What Is Organic, Really?

According to USDA Organic Label Certifications:

"100 percent organic," means that products must contain only organically produced ingredients and "approved processing aids."

"Organic," products must consist of at least 95 percent organically produced ingredients. The remaining ingredients must consist of USDA approved non agricultural (non-organic) substances.

"Made with organic ingredients," processed food products must contain at least 70 percent organic ingredients.

The perception that there is nothing better than USDA Organic Certification is just a perception, the reality is that in the growing and processing of USDA Organic foods, about 275 "approved non agricultural (synthetic chemicals) are allowed. That also includes anything for which there isn't an organic equivalent.

So, stretching the imagination, horse manure or Mercury could be included in food and the food could still be certified as Organic, since there isn't commercially available organic horse manure or mercury. That is how Soy lecithin slithered it's way into so many organic foods, a substance considered to be a dangerous industrial toxin.

There are many different organic certifications and if eating pure wholesome, natural, unadulterated foods is important to you, it will take buying from farmers & manufacturers that you know and trust or a learning curve to wade your way through the various certifications to see what's allowed that you might not want to eat.

Sadly, not all manufacturers stay pure, we've discovered that they change ingredients from time and that's when you vote with your dollars and let the manufacturer know of your decision.

USDA Claims Ownership To The Word Organic, You Must Pay To Play

Political control freaks (thieves) have moved one step further to the twilight zone. In order to sell your home grown fruit at the now centrally planned “farmers market” you must submit a “crop plan” and have your Garden inspected by filling out a “farm schedule.” After that’s done you’re more than welcome to sell your oranges once you fill out your various tax forms, sign the ten page 8000 word contract agreement with the city manager, pay your filing fees and attain your organic certification and proper permits. As Rockefeller said: “competition is sin.”

Population Culling

The world's most renowned population analyst has called for a massive reduction in the number of humans and for natural resources to be redistributed from the rich to the poor.

Paul Ehrlich, Bing professor of population studies at Stanford University in California and author of the best-selling Population Bomb book in 1968, goes much further than the Royal Society in London which this morning said that physical numbers were as important as the amount of natural resources consumed.

The optimum population of Earth – enough to guarantee the minimal physical ingredients of a decent life to everyone – was 1.5 to 2 billion people rather than the 7 billion who are alive today or the 9 billion expected in 2050, said Ehrlich in an interview with the Guardian.

"How many you support depends on lifestyles. We came up with 1.5 to 2 billion because you can have big active cities and wilderness. If you want a battery chicken world where everyone has minimum space and food and everyone is kept just about alive you might be able to support in the long term about 4 or 5 billion people. But you already have 7 billion. So we have to humanely and as rapidly as possible move to population shrinkage."

"The question is: can you go over the top without a disaster, like a worldwide plague or a nuclear war between India and Pakistan? If we go on at the pace we are there's going to be various forms of disaster. Some maybe slow motion disasters like people getting more and more hungry, or catastrophic disasters because the more people you have the greater the chance of some weird virus transferring from animal to human populations, there could be a vast die-off."

Ehrlich, who was described as alarmist in the 1970s but who says most of his predictions have proved correct, says he was gloomy about humanity's ability to feed over 9 billion people. "We have 1 billion people hungry now and we are going to add 2.5 billion. They are going to have to be fed on more marginal land, from water that is purified more or transported further, we're going to have disproportionate impacts on how we feed people from the population increase itself," he said.

"Most of the predictions [in Population Bomb] have proved correct. At that time I wrote about climate change. We did not know then if it was warming or cooling. We thought it was going to be a problem for the end of this century. Now we know it's warming and a problem for the beginning of the century; we didn't know about the loss of biodiversity. Things have been coming up worse than was predicted. We have the threats now of vast epidemics".

"I have a grim view of what is likely to happen to my children and grandchildren. Politicians can control the financial mess we are in but they don't have control over the systems of the planet that provide us our food, our welfare, those are deteriorating and it will take us a long time to turn it around if we start now. It's hard to think of anything that will pop up and save us. I hope something will but it really will be a miracle."

But he agreed with the Royal Society report that said human population and consumption should not be divided. "[They] multiply together. You have to be deal with them together. We have too much consumption among the rich and too little among the poor. That implies that terrible thing that we are going to have to do which is to somehow redistribute access to resources away the rich to the poor. But in the US we have been doing the opposite. The Republican party is wildly in favour of more redistribution, of taking money from the poor and giving it to the rich."

NOTE: Have you noticed that those in favor of culling the population aren't willing to be among the culled, that's left for the rest of us.

Benefits of Garlic

A common ingredient for sautéing, garlic is a spice relative of onion, leek, chive and shallots. This is a common staple for many savory dishes. Although popular in the kitchen, the health benefits of garlic have also been recognized and taken advantage of since the ancient times, showing countless individuals the compelling reasons to increase garlic consumption.
Benefits of Garlic

Garlic has many well-known health benefits – the most popular being its anti-infection uses. Skin conditions caused by bacteria, virus, fungi or yeast can be treated by rubbing raw chopped garlic on the affected area.

Garlic is great for boosting the immune system, containing high levels of vitamin C and being identified as a serious anti-cancer food. Because of its high potassium content, it can aid in absorption of essential nutrients, and help avoid digestive problems and fatigue as well. Garlic can also help in lung and throat problems due to its pungent smell. Since consuming garlic can irritate the digestive tract because of its pungent smell, a signal travels to the brain to release watery fluid in the lungs to counter the pungent property, thereby helping clear the lungs out of cough and colds.

Adding more to the benefits of garlic list, garlic’s role in the prevention of cancer is perhaps one of the most notorious. Scientists believe that the exceptional anti-cancer properties may have to do with the way that garlic boosts the production of something known as hydrogen sulfide. It is the hydrogen sulfide production that researchers believe to be why garlic is so effective at preventing a wide variety of cancer including, prostate, breast, and colon cancer.

As an antioxidant, garlic can help protect against free radicals, cancer, high cholesterol, and can be used as one of the many home remedies for high blood pressure. It is said that the older the garlic gets, the more antioxidants properties it contain, and the more effectively it works.

To maximize on the health benefits of garlic, let it sit for a few minutes before cooking. Letting garlic sit helps to release the enzymes that provide more nutrients for the body. Raw garlic can be used to kill bacteria, but cooked garlic has more potency in lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Optimally, crush the garlic at room temperature and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes. In addition, never cook garlic at high heat — try consuming it raw or cooked lightly. You can consume the spice both ways.

If you are worried about garlic causing bad breathe, you can counter this by consuming garlic prepared as pills or capsules. If you want to get the health benefits from garlic and stave off the odor a different way, consume garlic with parsley, as the herb counters garlic’s bad smell.

Why Russian Banned Microwave Ovens & Why You Should Toss Yours

Consumers are dying today in part because they continue to eat dead foods that are killed in the microwave. They take a perfectly healthy piece of raw food, loaded with vitamins and natural medicines, then nuke it in the microwave and destroy most of its nutrition.

Humans are the only animals on the planet who destroy the nutritional value of their food before eating it. All other animals consume food in its natural, unprocessed state, but humans actually go out of their way to render food nutritionally worthless before eating it. No wonder humans are the least healthy mammals on the planet.

In Russia, microwave ovens were banned in 1976 because of their negative health consequences as many studies were conducted on their use. The ban was lifted after Perestroika in the early 90’s. Numerous documents can be found online relating to this topic.

The invention of the microwave and its mass adoption by the population coincides with the onset of obesity in developed nations around the world. Not only did the microwave make it convenient to eat more obesity-promoting foods, it also destroyed much of the nutritional content of those foods, leaving consumers in an ongoing state of malnourished overfeeding.

In other words, people eat too many calories but not enough real nutrition. The result is, of course, what we see today: Epidemic rates of diabetes, cancer, heart disease, depression, kidney failure, liver disorders and much more.

These diseases are all caused by a combination of malnutrition and exposure to toxic chemicals (plus other factors such as emotional trauma, lack of exercise, etc.). Microwaves make malnutrition virtually automatic, and being exposed to toxic chemicals is easy to accomplish by simply eating processed foods (which are universally manufactured with the addition of toxic chemicals that act as preservatives, colorings, flavor enhancers and so on).

Microwaving is, technically, a form of food irradiation. I find it interesting that people who say that would never eat “irradiated” food have no hesitation about microwaving their food. It’s the same thing (just a different wavelength of radiation). In fact, microwaves were originally called “radar ranges.”

Sounds strange today, doesn’t it? But when microwaves were first introduced in the 1970′s, they were proudly advertised as radar ranges. You blast your food with high-intensity radar and it gets hot. This was seen as some sort of space-age miracle in the 1970′s. Perhaps someday an inventor will create a food heating device that does not radically alter the nutritional value of the foods in the process, but I’m not holding my breath on this one. Probably the best way to heat foods right now is to simply use a countertop toaster oven, and keep the heat as low as possible.

The microwave does work as advertised, by the way. It makes your food hot. But the mechanism by which heat is produced causes internal damage to the delicate molecular structures of vitamins and phytonutrients. Minerals are largely unaffected, however, so you’ll still get the same magnesium, calcium and zinc in microwaved foods as you would in non-microwaved foods, but the all-important B vitamins, anthocyanins, flavonoids and other nutritional elements are easily destroyed by microwave ovens.

The microwave is the appliance of the living dead. People who use the microwave on a regular basis are walking down a path towards degenerative disease and a lifelong battle with obesity. The more you use the microwave, the worse your nutritional state gets, and the more likely you are to be diagnosed with various diseases and put on pharmaceuticals which, of course, will create other health problems that lead to a grand spiraling nosedive of health.

Do yourself a favor: Toss your microwave, or donate it to some charity. It’s much easier to avoid using the microwave if you don’t have one around. It will clear up counter space, save you electricity and greatly enhance your dietary habits.

When you need to heat something, heat it in a toaster oven or a stovetop pan (avoid Teflon and non-stick surfaces, of course). Better yet, strive to eat more of a raw, unprocessed diet. That where you’ll get the best nutrition anyway. Buy yourself a Vita-Mix and blend up some smoothies. It’s faster than microwaving foods are far healthier. (See my book Superfood Smoothies for recipes).

I drink a superfood smoothie every morning, and I haven’t used a microwave in years. Protecting health is our own responsibility, and it’s up to us all to make informed decisions about how we buy, prepare and consume our foods.

Small Scale Chernobyl Legacy Prelude To Fukushima

Warning – Graphic* Photographer's video: “My first reaction was I was looking at a different race of people” — Brain outside of skull, kidneys outside of torso, legs resembling elephant — Some doctors feel strongly there will be no more Belarus people in future

To get a sense of just what those tens of millions live at risk of, take a look at these photographs by award winning photographer Paul Fusco. Earlier this month I had a the honor of participating in the fourth Schuneman Symposium held at the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. Among the speakers was Fusco, an extraordinary MAGNUM photographer who traveled to the Ukraine to see the legacy of Chernobyl after twenty years. Fusco expected to stay two weeks. He stayed for two months, following parents, children, nurses and cancer patients.

“It changed my life. I couldn’t leave. It was so immense in its implications. There is so much damage to so many people in so many ways…” says Fusco.

Was Fukushima A Nuclear War?

The World is at a critical crossroads. The Fukushima disaster in Japan has brought to the forefront the dangers of Worldwide nuclear radiation.

The crisis in Japan has been described as "a nuclear war without a war". In the words of renowned novelist Haruki Murakami:

"This time no one dropped a bomb on us ... We set the stage, we committed the crime with our own hands, we are destroying our own lands, and we are destroying our own lives."

Nuclear radiation --which threatens life on planet earth-- is not front page news in comparison to the most insignificant issues of public concern, including the local level crime scene or the tabloid gossip reports on Hollywood celebrities.

While the long-term repercussions of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster are yet to be fully assessed, they are far more serious than those pertaining to the 1986 Chernobyl disaster in the Ukraine, which resulted in almost one million deaths (New Book Concludes - Chernobyl death toll: 985,000, mostly from cancer Global Research, September 10, 2010, See also Matthew Penney and Mark Selden The Severity of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster: Comparing Chernobyl and Fukushima, Global Research, May 25, 2011)

Moreover, while all eyes were riveted on the Fukushima Daiichi plant, news coverage both in Japan and internationally failed to fully acknowledge the impacts of a second catastrophe at TEPCO's (Tokyo Electric Power Co Inc) Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant.

The shaky political consensus both in Japan, the U.S. and Western Europe is that the crisis at Fukushima has been contained.

The realties, however, are otherwise. Fukushima 3 was leaking unconfirmed amounts of plutonium. According to Dr. Helen Caldicott, "one millionth of a gram of plutonium, if inhaled can cause cancer".

An opinion poll in May 2011 confirmed that more than 80 per cent of the Japanese population do not believe the government's information regarding the nuclear crisis. (quoted in Sherwood Ross, Fukushima: Japan's Second Nuclear Disaster, Global Research, November 10, 2011)

The Impacts in Japan

The Japanese government has been obliged to acknowledge that "the severity rating of its nuclear crisis ... matches that of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster". In a bitter irony, however, this tacit admission by the Japanese authorities has proven to been part of the cover-up of a significantly larger catastrophe, resulting in a process of global nuclear radiation and contamination:

"While Chernobyl was an enormous unprecedented disaster, it only occurred at one reactor and rapidly melted down. Once cooled, it was able to be covered with a concrete sarcophagus that was constructed with 100,000 workers. There are a staggering 4400 tons of nuclear fuel rods at Fukushima, which greatly dwarfs the total size of radiation sources at Chernobyl."

Worldwide Contamination

The dumping of highly radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean constitutes a potential trigger to a process of global radioactive contamination. Radioactive elements have not only been detected in the food chain in Japan, radioactive rain water has been recorded in California:

"Hazardous radioactive elements being released in the sea and air around Fukushima accumulate at each step of various food chains (for example, into algae, crustaceans, small fish, bigger fish, then humans; or soil, grass, cow's meat and milk, then humans). Entering the body, these elements - called internal emitters - migrate to specific organs such as the thyroid, liver, bone, and brain, continuously irradiating small volumes of cells with high doses of alpha, beta and/or gamma radiation, and over many years often induce cancer". (Helen Caldicott, Fukushima: Nuclear Apologists Play Shoot the Messenger on Radiation, The Age, April 26, 2011)

While the spread of radiation to the West Coast of North America was casually acknowledged, the early press reports (AP and Reuters) "quoting diplomatic sources" stated that only "tiny amounts of radioactive particles have arrived in California but do not pose a threat to human health."

"According to the news agencies, the unnamed sources have access to data from a network of measuring stations run by the United Nations’ Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization. ...

... Greg Jaczko, chair of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, told White House reporters on Thursday (March 17) that his experts “don’t see any concern from radiation levels that could be harmful here in the United States or any of the U.S. territories”.

Public Health Disaster. Economic Impacts

What prevails is a well organized camouflage. The public health disaster in Japan, the contamination of water, agricultural land and the food chain, not to mention the broader economic and social implications, have neither been fully acknowledged nor addressed in a comprehensive and meaningful fashion by the Japanese authorities.

Japan as a nation state has been destroyed. Its landmass and territorial waters are contaminated. Part of the country is uninhabitable. High levels of radiation have been recorded in the Tokyo metropolitan area, which has a population of 39 million (2010) (more than the population of Canada, circa 34 million (2010)) There are indications that the food chain is contaminated throughout Japan:

Radioactive cesium exceeding the legal limit was detected in tea made in a factory in Shizuoka City, more than 300 kilometers away from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Shizuoka Prefecture is one of the most famous tea producing areas in Japan.

A tea distributor in Tokyo reported to the prefecture that it detected high levels of radioactivity in the tea shipped from the city. The prefecture ordered the factory to refrain from shipping out the product. After the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, radioactive contamination of tea leaves and processed tea has been found over a wide area around Tokyo. (See 5 More Companies Detect Radiation In Their Tea Above Legal Limits Over 300 KM From Fukushima, June 15, 2011)

Japan's industrial and manufacturing base is prostrate. Japan is no longer a leading industrial power. The country's exports have plummeted. The Tokyo government has announced its first trade deficit since 1980.

While the business media has narrowly centered on the impacts of power outages and energy shortages on the pace of productive activity, the broader issue pertaining to the outright radioactive contamination of the country's infrastructure and industrial base is a "scientific taboo" (i.e the radiation of industrial plants, machinery and equipment, buildings, roads, etc). A report released in January 2012 points to the nuclear contamination of building materials used in the construction industry, in cluding roads and residential buildings throughout Japan.(See FUKUSHIMA: Radioactive Houses and Roads in Japan. Radioactive Building Materials Sold to over 200 Construction Companies, January 2012)

A "coverup report" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (May 2011), entitled "Economic Impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Current Status of Recovery" presents "Economic Recovery" as a fait accompli. It also brushes aside the issue of radiation. The impacts of nuclear radiation on the work force and the country's industrial base are not mentioned.

The report states that the distance between Tokyo -Fukushima Dai-ichi is of the order of 230 km (about 144 miles) and that the levels of radiation in Tokyo are lower than in Hong Kong and New York City.(Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Current Status of Recovery, p.15). This statement is made without corroborating evidence and in overt contradiction with independent radiation readings in Tokyo (se map below). In recent developments, Sohgo Security Services Co. is launching a lucrative "radiation measurement service targeting households in Tokyo and four surrounding prefectures".

The fundamental question is whether the vast array of industrial goods and components "Made in Japan" -- including hi tech components, machinery, electronics, motor vehicles, etc -- and exported Worldwide are contaminated? Were this to be the case, the entire East and Southeast Asian industrial base --which depends heavily on Japanese components and industrial technology-- would be affected. The potential impacts on international trade would be farreaching. In this regard, in January, Russian officials confiscated irradiated Japanese automobiles and autoparts in the port of Vladivostok for sale in the Russian Federation. Needless to say, incidents of this nature in a global competitive environment, could lead to the demise of the Japanese automobile industry which is already in crisis.

While most of the automotive industry is in central Japan, Nissan's engine factory in Iwaki city is 42 km from the Fukushima Daiichi plant. Is the Nissan work force affected? Is the engine plant contaminated? The plant is within about 10 to 20 km of the government's "evacuation zone" from which some 200,000 people were evacuated (see map below).

Nuclear Energy and Nuclear War

The crisis in Japan has also brought into the open the unspoken relationship between nuclear energy and nuclear war.

Nuclear energy is not a civilian economic activity. It is an appendage of the nuclear weapons industry which is controlled by the so-called defense contractors. The powerful corporate interests behind nuclear energy and nuclear weapons overlap.

In Japan at the height of the disaster, "the nuclear industry and government agencies [were] scrambling to prevent the discovery of atomic-bomb research facilities hidden inside Japan's civilian nuclear power plants".1 (See Yoichi Shimatsu, Secret Weapons Program Inside Fukushima Nuclear Plant? Global Research, April 12, 2011)

It should be noted that the complacency of both the media and the governments to the hazards of nuclear radiation pertains to the nuclear energy industry as well as to to use of nuclear weapons. In both cases, the devastating health impacts of nuclear radiation are casually denied. Tactical nuclear weapons with an explosive capacity of up to six times a Hiroshima bomb are labelled by the Pentagon as "safe for the surrounding civilian population".

No concern has been expressed at the political level as to the likely consequences of a US-NATO-Israel attack on Iran, using "safe for civilians" tactical nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear state.

Such an action would result in "the unthinkable": a nuclear holocaust over a large part of the Middle East and Central Asia. A nuclear nightmare, however, would occur even if nuclear weapons were not used. The bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities using conventional weapons would contribute to unleashing another Fukushima type disaster with extensive radioactive fallout.

Feds To Outlaw Children Working On Private Family Farms Or Working With Animals

For civilization to persist, each subsequent generation must be equipped by the previous one with the knowledge and skills to grow food, which traditionally occurs on family-scale farms from parent to child, or from seasoned expert to young amateur. But new labor laws being proposed by the U.S. Department of Labor (DoL) would prohibit children from performing many of the routine farm chores they have been involved with for centuries, which some see as a direct attack on small-scale agriculture.

The Daily Caller reports that the DoL, under the guidance of the Obama Administration, is proposing that child labor laws be modified to prohibit children under the age of 16 from working with animals, for instance, or from being allowed to work with food storage bins. The proposal also seeks to prohibit children from "being employed in the storing, marketing and transporting of farm product raw materials," which essentially makes it a crime for farmhands to touch produce once it has been picked.

Originally put forward by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis last fall as a way to further protect children from unsafe working conditions, the proposal threatens unprecedented government overreach into the normal operating procedures of private farms. And while the new provisions would reportedly contain an exemption for children working on farms owned by their parents, they would still drastically limit the freedom of children to learn about agriculture from a young age.

You can view the DoL's proposal announcement here:
http://www.dol.gov/opa/media/press/whd/WHD20111250.htm

"I started working on my grandparent's and uncle's farms for a couple of weeks in the summer when I was 12," said John Weber, a 19-year-old college student majoring in agriculture, to The Daily Caller. "The work ethic is a huge part of it. It gave me a lot of direction and opportunity in my life. If they do this it will prevent a lot of interest in agriculture. It's harder to get a 16-year-old interested in farming than a 12-year-old."

Many others also share Weber's sentiments, as they too have told reporters in recent days about how being immersed in a farming environment that involved performing farm chores from a young age was crucial to their now-developed understanding and appreciation of agriculture. Without these experiences, many of these individuals likely would have ditched farming and chosen other professions instead.

Federal government to take over all on-farm safety training programs
Besides all the restrictions, the labor law proposals would also end the federal government's support for independent safety training and certification courses taught by youth-based agricultural groups like 4-H and FFA. Instead, children interested in agriculture would have to take a 90-hour federal government training course that would likely be far less beneficial and effective, and a lot more bureaucratic.

So not only does the government want to dictate who can and cannot work on farms, but it also wants to steer the entire ship of early childhood agricultural education. And since the government has made it abundantly clear in recent years that it favors industrial, genetically-engineered agriculture systems over family-scale farms (http://www.naturalnews.com/033387_Obama_GMOs.html), we all know where this crackpot, government-run endeavor would lead.

Endgame goal to separate Americans from their land, from their animals, and ultimately from each other
As benign as such proposals may seem to some -- the government is only trying to protect the children, right? -- they truly represent just another nail in the coffin of individual liberty, particularly as it pertains to private agriculture. If you have been following the escalating trend of government tyranny against small farms and food freedom in recent years, it should be abundantly apparent that the government's primary goal in these new proposals is not to protect children from danger, but rather to further separate Americans from the food they eat.

Working hand-in-hand with Monsanto and the drug companies to create a total monopoly on food and health, the federal government is working feverishly to remove Americans from their own land, and create a culture of complete ignorance about food, nutrition, and agriculture. If Americans have no idea how to farm, in other words, they will be at the mercy of a centralized agricultural system that dispenses only chemical-laced genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) and other toxic substances for consumption.

The only way to stop all this madness is to refuse, in the form of blatant civil disobedience, any and all provisions and restrictions that erode or destroy our freedom to grow, buy, sell, and eat the foods of our choice. And this includes continuing to teach each new generation, regardless of whatever laws may or may not be passed, how to independently produce safe food without interference by government tyrant

NOTE: Living in a rural, agricultural area it's common practice for girls & boys to help out driving tractors, combines, feeding the animals, gardening and everything else associated with farm life. The kids love it and learn about where food comes from and how to produce it. I completely agree with Mike's article, this isn't about kid safety it's about controlling your access to natural, healthy food.

If you value natural food, rather than pesticide sprayed, hormone, antibiotic, vaccine injected, waste by product fed beef & chicken, then every time you buy a product that doesn't support your beliefs, you are adding another nail to the coffin. Vote with your $$$$ and support small, natural farms and the healthy, wholesome products that feed your family

Former TSA Head Says It's Become An Embarrassment

When former president George W. Bush signed into law the Aviation and Transportation Security Act (ATSA) following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which established the existence of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), America was told flying would become a safer and more secure experience for everyone. But more than a decade later, the TSA has shown itself to be an abusive and ineffective "national embarrassment," to quote the words of former TSA head Kip Hawley, who says the agency is in desperate need of reform.

First confirmed in July 2005, Hawley served as head of the TSA until January 2009, during which time he witnessed the agency spiral into the shameless, bureaucratic nightmare that it is today. From frivolous "security" measures like banning all liquids and forcing the removal of travelers' shoes, to full-body pat downs and pointless "witch hunt" protocols for ubiquitous objects like lighters, the TSA's security theater has evolved into a gross abuse of power, and one that is now the laughing stock of the world.

"More than a decade after 9/11, it is a national embarrassment that our airport security system remains so hopelessly bureaucratic and disconnected from the people whom it is meant to protect," wrote Hawley in a recent Wall Street Journal (WSJ) editorial. "In attempting to eliminate all risk from flying, we have made air travel an unending nightmare for U.S. passengers and visitors from overseas, while at the same time creating a security system that is brittle where it needs to be supple."

You can read his entire piece here:
http://online.wsj.com

Hawley goes on to explain how the TSA has repeatedly failed to keep up with staying one step ahead of potential terrorist threats, and has instead adopted an ever-growing list of arbitrary regulations that target specific items and activities as part of a checklist screening regimen. Any terrorist with even the slightest bit of common sense will know what to avoid when planning an attack, in other words, because of the TSA's narrow and shortsighted approach to security screening.

Reforming TSA would help, but abolishing it would be better
While Hawley offers some great ideas about how to fix these and other problems at the TSA, his solutions are predicated on the false notion that the very existence of the TSA is somehow valid and legitimate. The TSA's airport checkpoints, which are slowly expanding into ground-based checkpoints, are wholly unconstitutional, and have no place in a free republic.

If private airlines and airports wish to instigate their own security measures -- this had been the case before 9/11 and before the establishment of the TSA -- then they are free to do so. But the federal government forcibly scanning, patting down, and physically harassing innocent travelers in the name of "national security" is a gross violation of the U.S. Constitution, and particularly the Fourth Amendment which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures.

Rather than reform, the TSA is in great need of being abolished. Only then can a rational, sane approach to airport security take its place in America's airports.
