Agenda 21: Georgia Governor Names Obama Conspiracy Theorist State Senator To Task Force

Georgia's Republican governor isn't saying why he gave a part-time seat on a state task force to the state senator who organized a four-hour briefing that told Republican lawmakers President Barack Obama and the United Nations are engaging "mind-control" techniques to force a land use agenda.

Gov. Nathan Deal (R) last week named Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers (R-Woodstock) to a seat on the governor's digital learning task force, formed earlier this year to study ways the state can use digital technology in schools, including digital textbooks. Deal made the appointment before a video surfaced of the meeting Rogers organized last month on Agenda 21, the U.N. sustainability program.

“Senator Rogers has been nationally recognized for his leading efforts in digital learning. I appreciate his willingness to serve as we strive to make Georgia the premier state for incorporating new technology into the learning process,” Deal said in a Senate statement about the Rogers appointment. The task force position is unpaid.

Deal's spokeswoman did not return messages seeking comment about Rogers' appointment, and asking whether the governor agrees with the Agenda 21 lecture, which included a birther activist telling Republican senators that Obama and the U.N. are using mind-control to force through the program. Rogers holds the task force seat in addition to his Senate seat. Rogers could not be reached for comment.

Rogers dropped his bid to seek a third two-year term as Senate majority leader during a Republican caucus meeting on Thursday evening, citing a desire to spend more time with his family. But Better Georgia, the progressive group that taped the Agenda 21 meeting, claimed credit for forcing Rogers out of the majority leader's race.

Bryan Long, the executive director of Better Georgia, told HuffPost that while the Agenda 21 meeting was held in October, the group waited to distribute the video in order to analyze the claims and to affect the majority leader race. Long said the group also didn't want to release the tape in the midst of election coverage. .

"He was fighting going into this week to preserve his leadership role," Long said of Rogers.
Rogers has previously pushed Agenda 21 bans in the state Senate, including an amendment to a land use bill in 2011 that failed by two votes. Agenda 21 was adopted by the U.N. during a 1992 climate change summit in Brazil to promote sustainability. Agenda 21 does not have the force of law in the United States, but has become a favorite target of Tea Party activists in recent years.

Several states have passed laws to ban or oppose the U.N. agenda.
During the Senate GOP caucus briefing, birther activist Field Searcy claimed Agenda 21 would ban rural development, livestock grazing, paved roads, floor and wall tiles, modern hunting, single-family homes, private property, power line construction, sewers, golf courses, scuba diving and synthetic drugs. The presentation also compared Obama's rural agenda with genocide programs by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and Chinese leader Mao Zedong that killed millions.
A full copy of Searcy's presentation can be found here.

The UN Agenda of Agenda 21 & Sustainable Development

... of a different kind — of crows, to be exact.  You may wonder: what’s up with crows?

Well, it depends on whether you embrace socialism and government control of your every move or whether you prefer freedom to speak, travel and work as you please.

Crows are Clever

Crows are clever birds!  In fact, they are among the smartest birds on Earth. They communicate with each other through a variety of caws (calls) about danger, food and many other things. Crows are quite intelligent; they learn quickly and remember for a long time.

The collective noun for a bunch of them, a "murder of crows" probably relates to their rambunctious group behavior which can create havoc on land and in the air. Crows are highly competitive but also social and caring creatures; you’ll rarely see a lone bird. In any event, when they visit your neighborhood, you can’t escape their noisy calls screaming hell and murder all over.

Many years ago, a young colleague of mine had befriended a crow.  It was a real treat to see it approach and steal some food from his inner-city roof top hideout when we worked on a joint project. Another memorable impression is the painting by Deborah McCarroll entitled
Contemplative Crows, reproduced here with permission.
Contemplative Crows, by Deborah McCarroll, 2011; acrylic on canvas; reproduced with permission.

Whether you like her painting or not is up to you. Personally I like it as these crows have a decidedly mischievous demeanor while contemplating their next move.

As the Crow Flies

While in the North Country hiking, fishing or hunting, I have often encountered crows (or their northern cousins, ravens) flying well above the tree tops in a straight line for miles without making any call at all. Obviously, those birds meant to get from point A to point B in the shortest time, whatever those points were; I never managed to figure it out. Presumably, that’s where the term "as the crow flies" originates from.
Of course, the crows fly as they please. But they usually have a purpose. If they did not, they would not be a successful species. That’s one more reason to wonder, what can we learn from them?

Perhaps they have solved the "traveling salesman problem" before Google did? In case you are not familiar with that problem, it refers to the fastest/cheapest way to get to a number of destinations, given one available method of travel, such as by roads, adjusted for length, speed limits and other obstacles. With multiple methods of transportation (e.g., road, train, air), that problem of course becomes much more complex and has yet to be solved.
The crows seem to have figured it out just by themselves, without a supercomputer in their brains. If that observation doesn’t suit you, perhaps you can’t stomach "eating crow."

Eating Crow

Eating crow is another interesting colloquial idiom, apparently unique to North America as it does not seem to have parallels in any other language. Wikipedia defines it as "meaning humiliation by admitting wrongness or having been proved wrong after taking a strong position [to the contrary]. "

Theurban dictionary defines it as "To eat crow implies, at its mildest, an unpleasant action since the flesh of the crow is believed to be unpalatable. As an expression, it denotes the anguish of humiliation at having to admit to wrongdoing or fallibility, usually in the wake of hubristic actions or words. "

I don’t know if crows actually are unpalatable or not - never tried to eat one. Who knows, with the right kind of preparation, they could be a culinary delight! Will have to talk about that with my favored "road kill restaurant maestro de cuisine" (his motto: You kill, we grill).

Eating crow is what is expected from many civil servants when higher politics demand. It happens every day and all over the world; I know it of first hand. Watching the daily news, it is obvious to many observers, even in countries expected and commonly thought to be without fault. Few of the individuals involved are willing to stand up for the truth and face the consequences.

The Crow Collective

If you are a raptor, like hawks and eagles, you’ll likely want to steer clear from crows as much as possible. Though much smaller than most raptors, crows will attack you without mercy until you leave the area. Smaller birds just hide where possible. If you are a human, you ought to be safe, possibly bar Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 horror movieThe Birds.

Crows don’t need an organization like the United Nations (UN) to help them finding food, a roost for the night, or adjudicate some dispute. They are claimed to "hold court" over offenders. Crows help each other with a repertoire of well over 100 different caws. Crows also have an ability to count and can use some tools; some can even make tools.  No wonder, crows are considered to be among the most intelligent animals on earth.

Perhaps you might ask then: Are crows smarter than people? If they can figure out how to make a living by working together for the common good, can we humans possibly learn some useful pointers from them? More to the point, does an international organization like the United Nations (UN) and its many offspring and sub-organizations have a crow-like ability to foster the greater benefit for all, possibly even to the detriment of some individual members?
On the face of it, the UN’s Agenda 21 and its Sustainable Development (SD) goals would fit that description. However, are they really as advertised and do you really know what they entail?

The UN and the Sustainable Development goals of Agenda 21

The Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-Moon, in addressing the UN’s 67th General Assembly recently under way in New York, urged the adoption of the UN’s program Agenda 21 with its sustainability goals and promises of “green” jobs, economic stability, etc., if adopted.  -  Not many crows listened.

A couple of months earlier, the UN’s Rio+20 conference tried to re-invigorate the same ideological agenda known as UN Agenda 21. Agenda 21 is a framework for redistributing individual and collective wealth around the world according to socialistic principles.

Among the 10,000 or so attendees of Rio+20 were some groups of people adorned with colorful bird feathers. As far as I know crows were neither invited nor represented, dead or alive.
One of the goals of Agenda 21 is the prescriptions for Sustainable Development. The term by itself sounds benign, even desirable.

However, on closer inspection, you may wish to reconsider.  SD intends to reorganize your entire life, rights to property, freedom of speech, and just about anything else you may think of as your natural right. For example, on Oct. 2, 2012, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Jan Eliasson, during a press conference on October at the UN headquarter in New York claimed Free speech is a gift given to us by the [UN’s] Declaration of Human Rights.

Surely, that is preposterous! The UN asserts the right to give to you (hence also to take away) your right to free speech!

Joseph Klein wrote about that as follows:  "Under Deputy Secretary General Eliasson’s logic, the UN Declaration of Human Rights, which gave us the
gift of free speech, can be modified or interpreted in such a way that would restrict its use if people were deemed too provocative or irresponsible in what they express. " . Article 29 of the Declaration puts some real meaning onto that "free gift", where it says: These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.

In other words, the UN and its derivatives are sacrosanct and can control your free speech.

As Tom DeWeese wrote, "Sustainable Development is the process by which America is being reorganized around a central principle of state collectivism using the environment as bait".

Let’s come back to crows for a moment. Few people like them but fewer can give specific reasons; they just feel like that.

The same analogy applies to people who think that sustainable development and other euphemisms of that kind are worthwhile goals to pursue. Again, on the face of it, they sound perfectly clear, as well as achievable and desirable. Hardly anyone knows the many crucial details of Agenda 21 and SD, or thinks about any possible drawbacks, such as the potential limitation of your right to free speech, use of your property, or perhaps even the right to own any property at all. Do you really want to make that trade?

The answer is a brief and clear NO!

Like many other institutions which take their cues from false information or from political or monetary desires, they quickly succumb to “the facts of life.” What I mean by that is that the good intentions originally agreed upon are rapidly being eroded and “redefined”. In the end, exactly the opposite of what was generally thought and hoped for is going to happen. The “free lunch” is going to turn out to be not free at all, perhaps even inedible.

The UN and its myriad of committees and sub-organizations have mostly become a system of self-serving groups, living off the avails of misinformation and deceit. The false claims of the Pacific island nations disappearing in a rising sea, a climate-(change)-driven demise of penguins, or the supposedly drowning polar bears in the Arctic are all myths propagated by the UN and its many offshoots in order to elicit our willingness to submit to the goals of Agenda 21.
I don’t think the crows would go for it; they are too smart to be taken in so easily.

A Murder, YES!  Deceit, NO!

Wa State Farms Block Agenda 21 & UN Agenda 21

The Washington State Farm Bureau just convened its 93rd annual convention.
Started in 1920, The WSFB is a voluntary, grassroots advocacy organization representing the social and economic interests of local farm and ranch families.

Every year the WSFB's volunteer leaders from across the state get together to discuss issues and adopt new policy. The WSFB is unique in that its members, delegates from each of the 25 county Farm Bureaus, adopt the policies, ranging from land use to fiscal issues.

This year’s convention was especially exciting due to the passage of new policy, set to put a barrier against the overreach of the federal government and even foreign ones.

"This year we indeed adopted a policy opposing all aspects of UN Agenda 21 as well as a policy opposing the use of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles) to spy on farms without express permission from the landowner," said John Stuhlmiller, Director of Government Relations.

"As an Okanogan County Farm Bureau member, I am personally very excited about the new policies that were passed. The issues facing Okanogan County today can all be tied back to Agenda 21 at some level - whether it be land acquisitions, wolves, or salmon recovery," said Pamela Leslie.

She also noted that, "Drones are of great concern as well. Drones are being used around the country to spy on farmers and ranchers, as well as average citizens. By adopting these new policies, the Washington State Farm Bureau has sent a strong message that it will aid Okanogan County in our grassroots movement to fight this kind of tyranny."

An Environmental Protection Agency project entitled Landscape Characterization and Change Detection Methods Development Research, says the EPA will use Department of Defense and NASA designed “UAV and satellite based remote sensor data to provide a continuous environmental monitoring capability.”

Many don't buy the government’s claim of using drones to protect the environment, especially after the recently discovered Air Force intelligence brief that states, if drones "accidentally" capture surveillance footage of Americans, the data can be stored and analyzed by the Pentagon for up to 90 days.

Farmers nationwide were upset when it was learned that the EPA was spying on Cattle Ranchers in Iowa and Nebraska. Seattle residents were also up in arms after the Seattle Police Department received a drone.

Alabama made news when they adopted a law protecting due process and private property by prohibiting any government involvement with or participation in Agenda 21. Washington farmers now join the ranks of citizens nationwide moving to protect their constitutional rights.
The text of the policy changes are as follows:
New Policy – Agenda 21 (add to Section VIII – Forestry and Public Lands)
We oppose the United Nations Agenda 21 and the ratification or implementation of any or all of its components.
The UAV policy is:
180 – Right of Entry for Government Agents

The Constitution requires government agents to obtain a search warrant before entering private property. The Constitution further requires that the search warrant contain a specific description of the property to be searched. The Constitution applies to any government agent who enters farms or ranches in order to conduct an inspection.

We believe government agents must ask permission of the owner or the owner’s authorized representative prior to entering a farm or ranch for purposes of conducting an inspection. If permission is denied, the agent should obtain a search warrant that specifies the reason for the inspection.

The agent should inform the owner/agent that they have the legal right to ask that a search warrant be obtained prior to an inspection. Agents should not retaliate against citizens who exercise this Constitutional right.

We believe government agents may enter property without the owner’s permission only if an emergency exists that constitutes an immediate threat to human life.
We oppose the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to conduct aerial inspections of farms and ranches unless explicit permission has been granted by the landowner. (2002, amended 2012)

Say NO To Agenda 21 In SFO & Your Area

California: Just Say NO to the One Bay Area Plan!

 Heather Gass
_______________________________________________________

What MTC (Marxist Transportation Commission) and ABAG (Arrogant Bureaucrats and Goons) are planning for you and your communities …..

Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)–two unelected, unaccountable regional government entities– through allocation of $277B of OUR OWN tax dollars—are going to force new zoning standards on ALL nine counties and 101 cities in the Bay Area.  Those zoning standards, which are being developed with almost no public awareness or consent on the part of the citizenry, will:

-          Remove all ability of local cities and towns to carry out their constitutionally-protected  role of making local planning decisions based on local conditions and doing so responsive to the needs and wishes of the citizens of that city

-          Force virtually all development of commercial and residential projects in the Bay Area FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS into the 4% of the Bay Area land that is designated as “priority development areas” (PDAs) near mass transit

-          Effectively disallow development or redevelopment in the 96% of the land area of the Bay Area that is NOT in those PDAs

-          Require all development in the PDAs to be stack and pack mixed use multi-story apartments or condos on upper floors, and retail or office space on ground floor

-          Require massive subsidies to build all of these developments and redevelopments in the PDAs, as the limited market for stack and pack housing and commercial space in the Bay Area is already saturated due to the use of Redevelopment Agency dollars to build these in recent years—many of which are under-utilized or even completely empty, years after having been built

-          Involve a regulatory taking of property rights in the 96% of the Bay Area outside of those PDAs due to the dramatic reduction in the value of all land that can no longer be developed or redeveloped

-          Require every city and town to build significant quantities of heavily-subsidized low income housing in their town whether the town or city wants to or not

-          The PDA projects will have limited provision for parking spaces, wholly inadequate to the needs of the residents and commercial tenants, in order to “encourage” people to give up their cars
-          Cities/Counties will not be given funding for schools, churches and other services necessary to support the increase population within the PDAs

-          All of the PDA developments will receive CEQA waivers—that is, they will not be subject to environmental review—proving indisputably that this has nothing to do with the environment.  Rather, this has everything to do with control of every aspect of our lives, down to the most minute of details, as well as a loss of our property rights, loss of our freedom to travel, and loss of our freedom to live and work where we choose.  By design.

-          Redirect the bulk of gas tax revenues over the next 30 years from maintaining existing roads and bridges to additional subsidies to mass transit.  This will lead to deterioration of existing road infrastructure, more accidents, longer commutes, and worse gas mileage–to which the Oz-like planners from ABAG and MTC will offer us toll lanes and vehicle mileage taxes in their endless pursuit of controlling every aspect of our lives, and charging us for the control grid they are placing us in.

Plus their plans to add more transit infrastructure when much of Bay Area mass transit is dramatically under-utilized will only have detrimental impacts on our economy, public finances, and the environment.

All this and much more will be coming our way. We MUST oppose these unelected regional bureaucrats now! We want local control! Not a dictatorial body of planners telling the citizens of the Bay Area how and where we will live over the next 30 years!

Just Say NO to the One Bay Area Plan! Get your city and county to stop paying dues to this corrupt agency and cancel their membership.

We must ABOLISH ABAG NOW!!!

10 Easy Steps To American Serfdom & New Bankster Tricks

The Common Sense Show
November 8, 2012

The United States is quickly descending down the path of serfdom in a 21st century application of modern day feudalism.

A new strategy has appeared in America which threatens to make a real live serf out of nearly every American citizen. The main emphasis of this attack is the ongoing conversion to  Communitarian law and a dramatic departure from our time honored Constitutional law. There are ten steps to implement on the way to your enslavement and incarceration into a feudal society of that only Satan could be proud of.

The erosion of these liberties is not the result of a series of random, unconstitutional acts by power-hungry globalist minions. Instead, the new and emerging system of American justice is bringing forth a sweeping set of reforms which is quickly ending our  experiment with inalienable, individual liberties.

This new system of justice is called Communitarian law and is the antithesis of Constitutional law as it champions community interests at the expense of individual liberties. Terms like sustainability, smart growth, collectivism and sacrificing for the greater good represent some of the buzz words and phrases of Communitarian law.

Americans have come to expect that our individual liberties are granted by God, not by man or by government. We also believe, as Thomas Jefferson wrote, that these rights are inalienable and may not be taken away by government. The United States Constitution prevents not only the implementation of tyrannical practices against it citizens, it also prohibits the will of the majority from abusing the civil liberties of the minority.

Sadly, the United States Constitution is on life support and the patient is nearing the end. So where is this leading the country?

The Supreme Court case of Kelo v. The City of New London, CT. (2005) usurped America’s Fifth Amendment rights with regard to property rights. Government can now seize your property, and for the first time, award your property to a private entity who is presumably a cohort of someone in government.

Some Americans are decrying these acts as unconstitutional. These Americans are correct. However, all of these acts are legal under the Communitarian system of justice because the intent is based on what is in the common good and not on what is constitutionally legal. And who gets to decide what is in the common, or the communist good?

That would be the people brigning you Communitarian law, the global elite. Don’t forget the old axiom of the Golden Rule. He who has the gold, makes the rules. In the modern day application of this old saying states that he who prints the money gets to steal your home. Please read on for the explanation.

Our abandonment of the U.S. Constitution in favor of Communitarian law allows the Federal Reserve, through QE3, to purchase $40 billion of mortgage based securities and will continue to purchase $40 billion worth of mortgaged properties each and every month until they own every single piece of real estate in the country.

This process began on September 13, 2012 and will continue until all privately owned properties are held by the money changers.

On the way to the new serfdom in America, a new house stealing strategy has emerged over the past several months. With many homeowners presently underwater, the five megabanks are conducting reappraisals and billing the difference between the loan amount and the current appraised value of the house. When the homeowner cannot find the cash to pay the difference, usually within a 30 day window, the bank forecloses.

If the bail out money from QE1 and QE2 had been applied to the totality of America’s home commercial mortgages, every home and business mortgage would have been paid off in full. Instead, the bail out money went to crooked bankers who broke the law in perpetuating the crises in the first place, which sent our home values plummeting.

The bailouts set the stage for the Federal Reserve to accomplish its two goals of seizing all private property in American and collapsing the dollar as a prelude to the roll out of a new global currency.

Welcome to the new Americana feudal manor and you and I are the serfs. Maybe this is why Homeland Security purchased 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, over the past year,  because the globalists realize that even the most dumbed down American might think that fighting for their home is worth taking on the corrupt federal government.

When one steps back and looks at the brilliant strategy concocted by the global elite, one can only marvel at their cleverness.

First, Wall Street plays the reckless derivative debt game and collapses the world’s economy.

Second, home values dramatically drop.

Third, the banks begin seizing underwater properties with money printed out of thin air by the Federal Reserve.

Fourth, the economy eventually collapses from printing 40 billion dollars of mortgage backed securities every single month.

Fifth, global currency and global government is ushered in.

Sixth,  Obama adopts the UN gun ban and uses the newly purchased 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition on the dissenters.

Seventh, with Americans out of their homes, they can be forced into the new stack and pack cities complete with their 200-500 square foot apartments.

Eighth, Americans will be subject to forced vaccines and real depopulation will begin in earnest.

Nine, one child limits will be placed on families,

and tenth the 10% who survive this vicious transition will live in humanities darkest days in a hellish nightmare that even George Orwell could not have foreseen.

God help us!

California Is Failing And They Do NOT Want To Be Bailed Out

Warning to anyone outside of California……

This is what is happening in our state.

You MUST not let this happen in yours:

There is a parallel system of govt that has been stealthfully formed around us to overtake our federal/state and local system. This parallel system or shadow goverment consists of mostly state and regional boards, commission and agencies that are unelected and unaccountable to the people.
These boards/commissions and bodies have tremendous power and are now dictating policy

to local counties and cities.  Many of these agencies cannot be audited and are incorporating outside of California to avoid the open meetings act.

Federal and state funding are being given to these bodies bypassing the local municipalities giving them great power to coerce local cities and counties into implementing Agenda21 land use, transportation, climate and other policies.

In addition Public/private partnerships are being formed daily to further dilute the accountability and control within our state. These partnerships allow this shadow govt to hide behind and protect private businesses from lawsuits, environment regulations giving unfair advantage to these corporations thereby killing their true private competitors.

In a few weeks California will have a carbon credit trading scheme foisted upon us that will further kill our economy. This regulation was enacted supposedly to stop the evil corporations from polluting our air and water. However, all of those corporation who are favored by the shadow system, known as Benefit Corporations, will get waivers so the real damage by these regulations will be to the middle class.

In a few short months I predict that California will lose thousands more jobs, our businesses will not be able to compete and our economy will fail.

Please DO NOT come bail this state out!

I believe the rest of the country will be asked to save California because “We are too big to fail!” Do not fall for this. California was meant to fail by design. All the Marxist policies that have been implemented in this state were designed to overrun the system so it would fail and then the govt could come in and take over.

Please do not bail us out.

Use this as a cautionary message to save your own state.
God help us…….. We really need it.

Harvard Confirms Fluoride Reduces Your IQ

NEW YORK, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Harvard University researchers' review of fluoride/brain studies concludes "our results support the possibility of adverse effects of fluoride exposures on children's neurodevelopment." It was published online July 20 in Environmental Health Perspectives, a US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences' journal (1), reports the NYS Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation, Inc. (NYSCOF)

"The children in high fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ than those who lived in low fluoride areas," write Choi et al.

Further, the EPA says fluoride is a chemical "with substantial evidence of developmental neurotoxicity."

Fluoride (fluosilicic acid) is added to US water supplies at approximately 1 part per million attempting to reduce tooth decay.

Water was the only fluoride source in the studies reviewed and was based on high water fluoride levels. However, they point out research by Ding (2011) suggested that low water fluoride levels had significant negative associations with children's intelligence.

Choi et al. write, "Although fluoride may cause neurotoxicity in animal models and acute fluoride poisoning causes neurotoxicity in adults, very little is known of its effects on children's neurodevelopment. They recommend more brain/fluoride research on children and at individual-level doses.

"It's senseless to keep subjecting our children to this ongoing fluoridation experiment to satisfy the political agenda of special-interest groups," says attorney Paul Beeber, NYSCOF President.  "Even if fluoridation reduced cavities, is tooth health more important than brain health? It's time to put politics aside and stop artificial fluoridation everywhere," says Beeber.
After reviewing fluoride toxicological data, the NRC reported in 2006, "It's apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain."

Choi's team writes, "Fluoride readily crosses the placenta. Fluoride exposure to the developing brain, which is much more susceptible to injury caused by toxicants than is the mature brain, may possibly lead to damage of a permanent nature."

Fluoride accumulates in the body. Even low doses are harmful to babies, the thyroid, kidney patients and heavy water-drinkers. There are even doubts about fluoridation's effectiveness (2). New York City Legislation is pending to stop fluoridation. Many communities have already stopped.

Infant formula when mixed with fluoridated water delivers 100-200 times more fluoride than breastmilk. (3)

More information on fluoride's impact on the brain is here.

California Voter Fraud On Prop 37? Will The Truth Prevail?

So look, there are fifteen million votes out there we haven’t counted yet. What do you want to do?”

How long have the polls been closed?”

Let’s see. Two hours.”

The hell with it. Let’s call it a defeat for Prop 37.”

Okay.”

This isn’t over.

We’re not just looking at how many votes in California are still uncounted. We’re not just guessing how it’ll turn out and making little projections. That’s a sucker’s game.

We’re looking at real symptoms of fraud. And fraud has tentacles and arms. You see one piece of fraud, you keep digging for other pieces. You usually find them.

Start with the incredibly early projections made by media outlets on election night. Those projections sank Prop 37.

When you’re in the middle of a football game and the outcome is still in doubt, if somebody suddenly posts the final score on the scoreboard, that’s called a lie.

It isn’t an estimate or a guess or a prediction. It’s a lie.

There was once a day in American politics when news networks would wait for conclusive election results. They weren’t greedily bent on reporting projections soon and sooner and soonest.

So let’s get that projection-brainwashing out of our heads, all right?

The whole business of making early and earlier predictions on election night is a sham. And it has the effect of inducing people to tune out.

Okay, Jones won. That’s that. What percentage of the votes have been counted? One half of one percent? Zero percent? Gee, I guess these prediction guys really know what they’re doing. They must have some fabulous computer models, honey. Let’s watch a CSI rerun…”

Here is what happened on election night in California. With many millions of votes still not counted, television stations up and down the state sealed the fate of Prop 37, by saying it had lost.

Many of those California votes are still uncounted. Yesterday, by consulting four of the 57 county registrars in the state, I found 1.6 million votes still unprocessed. That was chicken feed.

An updated report, as of noon today, November 9, posted at the California Secretary of State’s website, indicates that, for all of California, a boggling 3.3 million votes remain uncounted.

So who called the shots? Who made the early and grossly premature projection on election night? Who told all the media outlets that Prop 37 had been defeated?

I suspected it was Edison Media Research, an outfit that works for the National Election Pool (NEP). NEP is a media consortium that supplies election-night information to the press. This morning I spoke with a representative of Edison, who told me they didn’t make the projection on Prop 37.

If true, that leaves Associated Press (AP) as the leading suspect. AP is part of the National Election Pool as well. AP has awesome resources.

I spoke with Erin Madigan White, media relations manager at AP. I asked her whether AP had made the projections for Prop 37 to media outlets.

She emailed me the following tidbit. It was not quite an answer to my question, but it was illuminating:

To clarify: AP does not make ‘projections,’ but bases our reporting on counting real votes from every precinct. As our story notes specifically, ‘With all the state’s precincts reporting, Proposition 37 failed 53.1 percent to 46.9 percent.’”

When someone gives you this kind of sleight-of-hand maneuver, it’s called a clue. Let’s start with this phrase: “With all the state’s precincts reporting.” The precincts were all reporting PARTIAL results. Even today, there are 3.3 million votes in CA still to be counted.

This tells you that AP was lying. That’s right. Let’s call it what it was. They were lying about “all precincts.” It was an intentional con.

And what does the phrase “bases our reporting on counting real votes” mean? It certainly means “calling the result of an election.” Because that’s exactly what AP did with Prop 37, based on partial results, on Nov.8. That’s a projection. They say they don’t make projections, but they do. That’s another lie.

On election night, I believe AP must have been the entity who passed voting information on Prop 37 to media outlets throughout California.

AP will not speak about their business relationships with media outlets. They will not name those outlets. They claim “client confidentiality” on this matter. Why?

I believe the answer is obvious. AP, the giant wire service, doesn’t want people to know how much influence they have on what media outlets report. AP doesn’t want the public to know how much of the news, everywhere, comes from AP. And media outlets don’t want their own customers to know how much of what they report is really flat-out or recycled AP material.

This powerful AP influence certainly would extend to election-night reporting.

Knowing how the National Election Pool basically works, I see no other entity who could have played that information-provider role for all the networks, TV stations, radio stations, websites, and newspapers in California…and in the country, on this past election night, with respect to Prop 37.

With millions of votes outstanding and uncounted, I conclude it was AP who provided the data to the networks, who then made the early calls against Prop 37 and sank it.

After I wrote the original article yesterday, which exposed the big lie about Prop 37 early projections, I received many emails. You can read that article here:

http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2012/11/09/did-peop-37-really-lose-or-was-it-vote-fraud/

Most of the emailers stated they were glad to get the information. A few people questioned my report. They said, “Well, a hundred percent of voting precincts have already sent their vote-counts to the Secretary of State of California.”

Wrong. A hundred percent of precincts have sent PARTIAL vote-counts to the Secretary of State.

A few people said, “Well, the counties in California, who are in charge of counting all votes in their districts, have several weeks to wrap up the count. That happens in every election. Nothing new there.”

I know that. My attack is leveled at the early call against Prop 37 given to the media, on election night, when so many votes were still uncounted, when there was no way to know the final outcome.

A few people said, “Well, of the votes that remain to be counted in California, about two-thirds would have to go YES ON 37 to swing 37 over into victory. That won’t happen.”

Let’s leave that question to the actual vote-count. But we’re not only talking about the odds of getting a victory through counting the rest of the votes. With these horrendous early projections, we’re looking at a symptom of huge fraud here. The smoke in front of the fire:

Who can guarantee that the votes already tallied in California were done faithfully and honestly? Who can guarantee that the voting machines were accurately recording votes?

Given AP’s replies to me, and their policy of secrecy about their media clients, who wants to trust that news giant?

Concerning machine vote-fraud, wake up and smell the coffee. See Bev Harris’ work at blackboxvoting.org and also Victoria Collier’s important articles on this subject. Read up on the 2000 Bush-Gore fiasco and the 2004 Bush-Kerry voting nightmare (especially in Ohio).

Many people have emailed me to ask, “What can we do now?” First of all, the YES ON 37 people have to forget about their concession of defeat. They need to get busy and look into vote fraud.

They have to come back to the playing field.

To return to the football analogy, if you’re in the middle of the game and somebody suddenly posts the final score on the scoreboard, do you hang your head and walk off and accept the loss? Is that what you do?

Do you bow down to the system, because you’re afraid that, if you object, people will label you “sour grapes” and crazy? Or do you become more relentless?

YES ON 37 needs to demand to look at the voting machines, the software used in the vote-count. YES ON 37 needs to probe, with all they have, into what AP did on election night. And that’s just for starters. Bring on the lawyers. Make some real waves. Shake people up.

Think about this as well. Why was Prop 37 launched in California? Why not Arkansas or Louisiana?

Because it’s well-known that California, historically and presently, is the core of the natural health movement in America. CA is where it really took hold and spread. CA is where everybody and his brother want gluten-free bicycles and organic streetlamps and raw unpasteurized sunglasses and GMO-free underwear.

The sentiment for Prop 37 was overwhelming a couple of months ago. Then, boom. Everything went the other way. It wasn’t just the NO ON 37 ads. It wasn’t just the massive spending by the NO ON 37 forces.

The real specter of vote fraud is here, whether you like it or not.

If, indeed, AP made the early reports or projections or suggestions or advices of defeat for 37 to media outlets, let’s see their data and their models of interpretation. Did they do exit polls? I’ve never heard of AP conducting exit polls.

If as AP claims, they don’t do projections, are we supposed to believe they sent out nothing more than raw-vote counts to a few thousand media outlets in California, and each and every one of those outlets decided, on their own, through their own analysis, that Prop 37 was a lost cause early on election night?

Don’t believe that for a second. These local TV stations and newspapers aren’t independent enough to do that kind of projecting on their own. They were taking advice from somewhere. They were all falling into line. They were merely mouthpieces for someone’s projection.

This should trouble you. It should trouble you greatly. Unless you’re so enamored of projections and computer modeling and data interpretation and honest and honorable vote machines that you’re sure everything is just fine and dandy.

Early dismissive projections on election night are part and parcel of the Big Con. They are wands waved that put people to sleep and elections to bed.

So, no, Virginia. No. Everything is not okay.

Will You Be Forced To Live In A Stack N Pack Building?

Obama’s plans for a second-term plans includes an initiative to systematically redistribute the wealth of America’s suburbs and rural areas to the inner cities. It’s a transformative communist idea  and it is one that is already underway as these words are being written.

Electing or unelecting Obama would have made no difference to the implementation of this plan. Obama is merely a teleprompter reading sock puppet and Romney would have done this deed just as efficiently.

The real brains behind the coming Agenda 21-inspired mass migration from the suburbs to the inner cities is Mike Krulig and his new group of community advisors, Building One America. Their secretive agenda has been mostly achieved by Obama’s appointment of like-minded community activists to his staff. In fact, Krulig was one of Obama’s original community
organizing mentors from the President’s Chicago Southside days.

The word stealth applies because a damning photo depicting Krulig and Obama meeting at the Whitehouse in 2011 which appeared on the Building One America website. (The photo is displayed above).  However, this type of publicity would not have been good for the swing voters living in America’s suburbs.

Obama’s people had the video scrubbed as well as the search engine links. However, the Breitbart people retained a copy of the picture. This begs the question, if the Building One America plan is so good for America, why would the Obama people conceal his affiliation with Krulig and his group of Agenda 21 social engineers?

Kruglik’s Agenda 21 friendly group, Building One America, proposes the creation of a  regional tax-base sharing revenues in which suburban tax money is directly redistributed to nearby cities and economically depressed concentric zones of inner-ring suburbs. Building One America also seeks to move the poor out of cities by imposing mandatory low-income-housing quotas for middle-class suburban developments.

Krulig’s group also seeks to export the controversial regional tax-base sharing scheme currently in place in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area to the rest of the country. Under this program, a portion of suburban tax money flows into a common regional pot, which is then effectively redistributed to urban, and a few less well-off “inner-ring” suburban, municipalities.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul area regional government is run by unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats who are out of control. It is critical to know that removing the election process from this endeavor was deliberate for reasons that will become obvious as the reader will discover.
Kruglik’s group also favors a variety of policies designed to force people out of their cars and force suburbanites, robbed of their own tax money, to relocate into densely populated stack and  pack cities.

Among Kruglick’s strategies to separate people from their cars is the Vehicle Mileage Tax (VMT). Road pricing for the VMT would be implemented to force drivers out their cars. This will impact all drivers except for the Obama inspired exemption of low income drivers.
The VMT is designed to give favored status to certain groups. These groups represent organizations that want to transfer wealth through the heavy hand of regional government interfering in the housing, transportation and land use market place.

This tyranny is also being beta tested in the Bay area in a project entitled One Bay Area Plan. One Bay Area Plan is a 25 year plan which combines housing, transportation, and Agenda 21 land use policies. The public cover story is that the project is designed to save the planet by reducing Green House Gasses. The generated revenue, estimated at $15 million/day, would be used to fund further Agenda 21 transportation schemes such as buses, trollies and light rail which only a few people presently ride.

This plan also calls for Upzoning which would expland the plan to even more areas in the Bay. This would mean even more requirements for high density housing in cities that do not have their “fair share” of low income people. This will result in more 200 square foot apartments being constructed near public transit lines.

This Bay Area Agenda 21 plan also contains a concept referred to as tthe Communities of Concern (read low income and communities of color) would receive funds from these windfall profits that the region would receive.  (is Obama trying to provoke a race war?). Additionally, development fees would be eliminated for affordable housing developments, while subsidies would be used for favored activities such as the creation of more micro apartments and the construction of low income housing in the suburbs.

Most people mistakenly believe that the reality of the megacities concept in which we are all herded into the stack and pack cities is decades down the road. On the contrary, as you have seen, the program is being beta tested in two large metropolitian areas. These schemes will soon be coming to a neighborhood near you.

Psychic Protection Against Negative Energy

Have you ever entered an empty room, or office, and felt “uncomfortable”? Feeling perhaps quite happy to get out of that room, or office, as soon as possible? Maybe you have found somewhere that feels “bad” at one time yet feels “okay” at another time? This could be where we work, live, or somewhere we are visiting or passing through.

What about people? Do you know anyone who seems to have a “negative” aura? Whenever you are near them you feel more depressed, angry or fearful, than you normally do? How about the opposite? Do you know anyone who seems to make you feel better just by being around you, not even needing to say anything to you to improve things?

Apart from feeling worse around certain people and/or in certain places, do you find that you sometimes lose a lot of energy (psychic draining) in these circumstances? Do you have a problem with such things as insomnia, poor sleep, nightmares or low energy levels? Perhaps you are constantly lacking in energy? Maybe being diagnosed as having chronic fatigue? Or maybe you always seem to be getting colds, illnesses or other problems?

If the answer is “yes” then chances are you may be under intentional, or unintentional, negative psychic influence. What some people call being under psychic attack. Can anything be done about such situations? Yes, psychic protection is what one can learn to counter such things. Before talking about psychic protection however, we may wonder what it is and how it works.

To better understand this, we need to understand these negative influences. Put simply they are usually categorised into two types. Thought energies (or if they have a shape – thoughtforms) and negative spirit influence. Now, you may instantly think I am talking about dead people. I am not. We are all “spirits”. Some of us are physically alive and some of us aren’t. We do not become a spirit when we physically die. We are already one.

One may also say, “But I cannot see/hear spirits. This is proof they don’t exist.” Well, I cannot see radio or television waves in this room. Does that mean they aren’t here?

I wouldn’t think so. Much the same as hearing. I cannot hear a dog whistle. But dogs can! It would be rather foolish for me to conclude such a whistle made no noise simply on the grounds that “I didn’t hear it.”

Negative thought energies are created by someone (dead or alive) thinking negative thoughts, e.g. anger, hatred, fear etc. If the person is thinking these thoughts about us then they are automatically projected in our direction. In addition, as negative spirits are attracted to negative energy these people will often accompany the energies. Particularly if this is done “formally”, i.e., a spell.

Fortunately, there is defense against these things. Positive energies will dissolve negative ones, and we can arrange for positive spirits to help protect us against negative ones. There is nothing particularly profound about it. To cancel out a fire, water is a good response. The principle of using the opposite response to a spell is along the same lines.

The negative thought content of a spell, or any other form of psychic attack, can be “cancelled out” by directing a positive thoughtform of the same, or greater, strength at it. When they meet, the negative thoughtform will dissolve.

This can be achieved by such things as prayer, visualisation, etc. A common example of the latter is to imagine you are surrounded by a “protective” bubble of light. One can also imagine oneself being a hot ball of light. Like the sun. Radiating a hot, bright, light outwards.

The effect of negative entities can be “cancelled out” by positive entities of the same, or greater, strength. If the positive spirits predominate then many of the negative entities can be “cleared” (permanently) to spirit worlds.

Getting help from positive spirits is arranged by requesting it. Prayer in other words. It should be remembered we can do more than arrange “protection” this way. A good wording for such a prayer, and a list of recommended approaches is at http://home.vicnet.net.au/~johnf/aprayer.htm

Here is an example:
“I ask the Divine Light Forces (Forces of God) for…
(1) Protection against all that is not of the light (alive and dead).
(2) Healing on all levels
(3) Guidance with my life. Especially in the area of ____________________ e.g. knowing what I should be doing spiritually, help with becoming a channel for love, light, healing, guidance and inspiration. Preparing for meetings and/or seminars etc.
(4) Divine love, light and healing energies to go to __________________ (people we live/work with) as well as all who are working against our spiritual progression.
Other points worth noting :
  1. There are some interesting books that can be purchased on this topic including a booklet I have written. The authors range from psychics to medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, etc. There is a list of some of the books primarily related to the topic of psychic protection on my web site.
  2. Light coloured clothes tend to encourage light coloured energies. For best health never wear dark colours.
  3. If someone is currently sending you negative effects, as in a spell, then you need to direct light, etc. to them constantly until you feel they have stopped. If you “clear” yourself today then there is no reason why they cannot dump you with new discordant energies tomorrow!
  4. Negative thinking/emotions such as anger, fear, etc. weakens our aura and reduces our “protection”. Positive thinking/emotions such as love, etc. strengthen our aura and improves our “protection”.
  5. Keep in mind that things take time. Some people think praying for one night and imagining white light around them for five minutes will solve all their problems. This is unlikely. Suppose discordant effect had built up around you and/or your house for ten years. Do you think it reasonable to expect it to go in five minutes? Think of it this way. If you had a blow torch could you melt an iceberg? The answer is, of course, yes, but it would take more than five minutes!

Congratulations To Californians Who Are Happy To Keep Swallowing GMO Garbage~ Guess You Can't Fix Stupid

The quest to be inexplicably, self-abusing, loved-ones abusing stupid was superbly met this week when millions voted against Proposition 37 in California. When anyone asks me from now on how stupid I think the human race can potentially be I will always reply: see Proposition 37.
This was a public referendum in California which gave people the chance to vote for genetically-modified food (GM or GMO) to be compulsorily labelled as such and to stop the Big Food and Big Biotech cartels, including the notorious Monsanto, from promoting genetically-manipulated Frankenstein food as ‘natural’.

Now congratulations to the 4.2 million Californians who can see the obvious, but taking into account that rigging the vote to an extent is par for the course in the United States these days, the fact remains that large numbers of Californians (officially 4.8 million) actually voted against their right to know what is in the food that they and their families consume and even greater numbers - nearly 48 per cent of those eligible to vote - didn’t feel the need to even participate. That is a shocking level of utter stupidity, idiocy and brain-cell deficiency.

Do they not know what genetically-modified food is doing to their health, their children’s health and the health of virtually the entire American population - or that it is re-writing the human genetic code?

Clearly not and ignorance is often fatal as well as stupid.

How To Read Organic Labels

It's easier to read the ingredient list, that way you'll known which individual items are organic and which are conventional pesticide ridden toxins

What Is Organic Food?

A conflict of interest question has been raised regarding who makes the decisions about what contractors and consultants conduct technical or TAB reviews of materials on the National List of approved organic ingredients. Currently, the NOSB does not hold the final decision in this; instead, the USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP), the designated federal officer that participates in NOSB meetings, and the USDA Office of Ethics are said to carry an unethical influence over these decisions. NOTE: Would you believe that there are almost 300 synthetic ingredients allowed in the production or end product under the USDA Organic label? Also USDA is in bed with Monsanto, they are pushing for allowing GMO to be included under their organic label as well. Vote with your $$$$ and your fork! Reject all GMO What Is Organic, Really? According to USDA Organic Label Certifications: "100 percent organic," means that products must contain only organically produced ingredients and "approved processing aids." "Organic," products must consist of at least 95 percent organically produced ingredients. The remaining ingredients must consist of USDA approved nonagricultural (non-organic) substances. "Made with organic ingredients," processed food products must contain at least 70 percent organic ingredients. The perception that there is nothing better than USDA Organic Certification is just a perception, the reality is that in the growing and processing of USDA Organic foods, about 275 "approved non agricultural (synthetic chemicals) are allowed. That also includes anything for which there isn't an organic equivalent. So, stretching the imagination, horse manure or Mercury could be included in food and the food could still be certified as Organic, since there isn't commercially available organic horse manure or mercury. That is how Soy lecithin slithered it's way into so many organic foods, a substance considered to be a dangerous industrial toxin. There are many different organic certifications and if eating pure wholesome, natural, unadulterated foods is important to you, it will take buying from farmers & manufacturers that you know and trust or a learning curve to wade your way through the various certifications to see what's allowed that you might not want to eat. If you haven't tasted authentic grass fed meat you will be amazed?

The Fight For Real Organic Food Makes Shopping An Objectionable Experience

A

l
Greed and power in the food industry is turning a trip to the grocery store into an objectionable experience, as processed and factory foods are further pushed onto the unwitting public.
On the positive side, however, most of us now have plenty of organic  options, providing we know where to shop and how to find the good stuff.

From fresh organic produce, to organic and compassionately farmed animal products, to a variety of delicious organic packaged foods, it is now easier than ever to eat healthy and stay away from unwanted pesticides, antibiotics, GMO ingredients, and synthetic additives in our food.

And now that Proposition 37 in California to label GMO foods has been defeated by the food industry and a sleeping populace, it is more important then ever to know how how to access and support the organic food movement.

In a big way, your life depends on it.

Consumers must be prepared to demand and fight for high-quality organic options in our supermarkets, or we will be faced with a further degradation of production standards, questionable business practices, and conflict of interest matters.

Big Agra Conflict of Interest

A recent issue raised by various organic food industry watchdogs has been the presence of conflict of interest that has influenced decisions on what food additives are approved for use in organic packaged products. US organizations, such as the Cornucopia Institute and Center for Food Safety, have recently raised the issue of Big Agra business encroaching on the independent oversight that the US National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) has over what synthetic items can be added to the approved National List. This list includes processed synthetic items and processes that are approved for use in organic packaged products.

The decisions of the NOSB significantly affect the direction of the organic industry and what synthetic items are actually considered acceptable organic food components. Questionable items are already approved, such as the food additive Carrageenan, which was re-approved for use in organic food processing as of the Spring 2012 NOSB meeting.
“Degraded carrageenan,” which is present in all food-grade carrageenan, is classified as a “possible human carcinogen” by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Academy of Science in United States.Cornucopia Institute

Who Owns Organic

It can be quite shocking to realize that we’re at a stage of having a “possible human carcinogen” approved as an ingredient in our organic products. Perhaps as awareness of this grows, concerned industry players, consumers and government officials will implement new checks and balances to ensure that less conflict of interest exists in the NOSB in the US, and in similar organic industry authorities worldwide.

Industry oversight will grow in importance now that most non-organic, all-American brands, many of which are supporting Monsanto’s no GMO labeling efforts, are the same companies that have been heavily investing in the organic industry over the last 15+ years.
Some of the big food companies that have given money to the [GMO] anti-labeling cause also own organic brands, such as Kellogg Co., which owns the Kashi cereal brand, Dean Foods Co., owner of the Horizon organic dairy line and J.M. Smucker Co., which owns several organic brands.Wall Street Journal
Here’s a PDF of the top food companies in the US and their ownership ties to well-known organic brands (as of June 2009): http://www.cornucopia.org/wp-content/themes/Cornucopia/downloads/OrganicT30J09.pdf

Click here to download a short video created by Dr. Phil Howard, Assistant Professor at Michigan State University about who owns some of the more well-known organic brands.

How to Shop Organic

Let’s agree that buying food is much more complicated than it used to be, especially for the aware, health-conscious individual. There are more choices than ever, but these choices come from fewer companies. For shoppers, it is vitally important to understand the labeling process currently employed in the organic food industry.

This is why people who want to label GMO foods are so passionate about this cause: labels are one of a few ways, if not the only way, that consumers can make informed decisions about what food they buy.

The USDA’s NOP offers some insight on its website about the labeling requirements of organic products, which can be viewed in the Labeling Organic Products PDF.

Think Local
If you already buy organic products or just want to eat healthier, don’t get discouraged by this article. It is a resource. Take this opportunity to learn from the wealth of information available here, and start making even better food choices. In our world, it is difficult to be 100% organic. But there are ways you can move closer toward this goal. Support smaller organic food producers and local farms.

Eat fresh and raw foods. Start an organic garden or become involved in a community urban farming project. And stay informed and educated, so YOU are the one who decides on what food ends up on your dinner table.

Scientists study risks of contracting fatal brain diseases from eating farmed fish fed rendered cows

How do you know whether the farmed fish you buy has been fed soy bean pellets or rendered cows? Where do consumers go for objective, validated evidence and the latest information when research is ongoing on whether to eat farmed or wild-caught fish?

Do they go to their doctors? Farmed fish start out by having the rous sarcoma virus implanted into a specialized gene early in their embryonic development in order to amplify the fish’s growth hormone. The virus acts as a carrier. It’s called a vector (meaning a carrier virus). The farmed fish are made to grow faster and larger.

This specific rous sarcoma virus has been known since 1911 to cause cancer in chickens. See the article titled, "The Rous Sarcoma Virus (RSV)."  For more information, also see The Cholersterol Hoax, by Sherry A. Rogers, M.D., page 193. In the book, The Cholesterol Hoax, the section on page 193 specifically mentions that farmed fish are implanted with the rous sarcoma virus. On page193, the reader also is referred to the doctor's newsletter, Total Wellness, 2001.

On top of this retrovirus type of implant, farmed fish also may be getting a diet of byproducts rendered from cows. See the article, "Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy and Aquaculture," published in the June 2009 issue of  the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease. Reference to the study also appears in the June 26, 2009 Reuters article, "Risk of Mad Cow Disease From Farmed Fish?"

A brief Journal of Alzheimer's Disease abstract of pages 277-279 reports that, "Dietary consumption of fish is widely recommended because of the beneficial effects of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on the risks of cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s diseases.

The American Heart Association currently recommends eating at least two servings of fish per week. We are concerned that consumption of farmed fish may provide a means of transmission of infectious prions from cows with bovine spongiform encephalopathy to humans, causing variant Creutzfeldt Jakob disease."

And what about the implant of  the rous sarcoma virus into a specialized gene early in the fish's embryonic development? Experts are going to refute that based on FDA laws forbidding genetic alteration of farmed fish.

Yes, everyone knows the FDA doesn't allow farmed fish to be genetically altered, but what do you say to a doctor and the doctor's book and newsletter articles that insist the rous sarcoma virus is implanted into a farmed fish embryo not to genetically change the fish's DNA, but merely to enhance the ability of the fish to produce more of a hormone that makes it grow faster?

The faster the farmed fishes grow, the sooner they'll reproduce. And maybe they'll get a bit bigger, too, but growing faster means higher turnover and more generations of fish to be sold, hence more money to be made. Follow the money. If consumers ask too many questions, experts might give details or they might try to confuse consumers by pulling out the 'misinformation' card.

Then consumers are left to validate on their own which information is correct and which is flawed or so-called 'misinformation,' a word commonly used by public relations executives for industry to silence blue-flamers, that is reporters or consumers that ask too many questions of scientists or industry spokespersons. So where do you go next? To physicians?

Do you ask your doctor where the information came from? And when the doctor cites a medical journal article that's not that recent, where do you go to validate it if the article's authors are not easy to find?

You might ask a scientist is the DNA altered or not altered during the fish's fetal stage? You could ask when the fish is implanted with the rous sarcoma virus, does the carrier virus only strengthen and nourish the fish's growth hormone without genetically altering the genes of the fish?

The outcome is that the fish grows faster. Or is the DNA of the fish altered anyway, but with some loophole that consumers haven't been told about to get around the FDA laws of not genetically altering farmed fish?

Where can consumers go for answers? What happens when consumers question authority? Do public interest research groups help? Is there a way to bridge the communication gaps between scientists and physicians sharing information?

Consumers won't know the answer unless they talk to scientists. But would scientists have the time to talk to consumers asking questions? Then there's the problem of farmed fish being fed rendered cows.

The consumer is questioning whether or not this practice is safe. These are not scare tactics. It's realistically and objectively being concerned, and wanting to know how farmed fish are treated, fed, and cared for medically.

How healthy are farmed fish? What's injected or implanted into fish? What's the difference between farmed and wild caught fish? Are fish treated with insecticide-type chemicals? Why? But consumers aren't going to learn about all the diseases of fish if there's no one to interview.

So who do you turn to?

The most approachable with a phone call would be the public relations department of a fish farm business. You could ask your doctor, but your doctor may or may not have the time to discuss fish choices with you. If doctors and scientists had a choice of what to feed their children, would they choose wild caught or farmed fish and why?

It has been said that you are what you ate. Do you realize how much the food industry has changed since 1959? My son and my son in law both are physicians dealing with neuroradiology specializations and internal medicine. My grandchildren are in medical school. Our family sits down together for a meal and discusses genetics. Our family's goal is to discuss answers based on evidence.

So which type of fish is safest for consumers? The problem is that although the fish may not be genetically altered, the embryonic fish are implanted with a carrier virus not to change their DNA. No, that would be genetically altering them. Instead, they're implanted with a carrier virus to stimulate their own body's growth hormone. It makes fish grow faster.

There's a difference between genetically altering a fish and giving the fish a boost of strength in its growth hormone. So is there a loophole to get around the FDA's rules?

Can you inject a fish or a cow with a chemical that makes the creature grow faster by stimulating its hormone levels without changing its genes or DNA? The question keeps me up at night, but the doctors around my dinner table shrug their shoulders and joke, "there's power in numbers." And that leaves me standing alone wondering whether the consumer has the right to have a voice of confidence and resilience as a party of one.

The rous sarcoma virus (RSV) is an oncogenic virus — that is, a virus capable of causing cancer. This virus originally came from tumors of sick chickens back in 1911. The tumors were sarcomas, tumors of connective tissue. The virus was named the rous sarcoma virus (RSV) during those first 1911 experiments. Back then, healthy chickens were vaccinated with the virus from sick chickens that had cancer.

The purpose of the 1911 experiment showed that healthy chickens could be made to get cancer from a specific virus. The rous sarcoma virus is a retrovirus. Cancer can be induced in healthy chickens by injecting them with a cell-free extract of the tumor of a sick chicken. There's another problem.

Aids also is a retrovirus.

So are a lot of other tumor viruses taken from one animal and put into another. Why genetically alter fish with retroviruses just to increase the growth hormone? There's a reason why farmed fish are implanted with the rous sarcoma virus in order to increase their growth hormones.

The faster and bigger farmed fish grow, the more money they make. Each business and each hired scientist has a reason for genetically engineering farmed fish. But there's more. Omega 6 fatty acids replace much of the omega 3 fatty acids in farmed fish.

You’ll find more omega 3 fatty acids in wild caught fish than you'll find in genetically engineered farmed fish. The elevated levels of omega 6 fatty acids in farmed fish keep rising year after year, replacing the omega 3 fatty acids. Part of the reason why is because farmed fish are fed increasingly more commercial soybean pellets that contain pesticides.

The soybean pellets also have been genetically engineered (unless you’re raising fish yourself and feeding them organic fish foods). The commercial soybean pellets fed to farmed fish are full of pesticides such as Roundup that originally had been sprayed on the commercial soybean pellets along with other commercial insecticides, sometimes even with herbicides (for getting rid of weeds around the soybeans) and various pesticides.

On top of the insecticides in the soybean fish food pellets, the levels of PCBs in farmed fish are higher, in fact, ten times higher (in numerous studies) than you find in wild-caught fish from cleaner waters. So now you’re also getting PCBs in the fish. The farmed fish is exposed to more pollutants than wild fish in the open ocean. Yes, there are still some pockets of ocean not as polluted as some fish farms.

There are some cleaner spots in the ocean. Some of those oceanic areas include parts of the Arctic and Alaska. Wild-caught fish may not be irradiated, but farmed fish are irradiated so they won’t spoil while in transit to local supermarkets.

Wild-caught fish are more expensive than farmed fish.

When there's an overrun of wild fish, the overrun is canned and costs less per pound than fresh fish. The overrun is still the safe wild-caught fish in the can for three or four dollars that you'd buy in the supermarket for $17.00 per lb.

The irradiation of farmed fish not only destroys the bad bacteria. It also neutralizes some of the vitamins. So now you have fewer vitamins in farmed fish than in wild fish. When you get the cheaper farmed fish home, perhaps the fish are microwaved.

Now the fish coming out of the microwave oven has had all the antioxidants destroyed. Microwaved food destroys almost all of the nutrients, about 95% of them, according to the study, “Microwaved cooking zaps nutrients,” J. Randerson, New Scientist, Oct 25, 2003, page 14. Also, see the book titled, Optimal Nutrition for Optimal Health, by T.E. Levy. Keats Publishing, a division of McGraw-Hill, NY, 2001.

According to the article,  Microwaved cooking zaps nutrients, “Steaming left antioxidants almost untouched, while microwaving virtually eliminated them, the team found” (Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, vol 83, p 1511). Also see the article, "Looking at the Science on Raw vs. Cooked foods," by Jean Louis-Tu.

If you're interested in reading about what antibiotics are given to farmed fish for human consumption, see the book, Improving Farmed Fish Quality and Safety, edited by Torger Borresen. There's also a problem of how to improve disease immunity in order to reduce antibiotic use in farmed fish. How will the antibiotics given to farmed fish effect your resistance to antibiotics when you need them?

The solution to this problem is to eat wild-caught canned salmon packed in water with the “no salt added” label. It’s less costly than buying wild salmon for $16-17 per lb. Wild salmon usually is Alaskan king salmon caught from the overrun and canned.

It’s the same type of wild Alaskan salmon that you pay a lot more money for in the supermarket fish and meat department. A can of wild salmon usually costs three or four dollars. And there are two servings in the can.

One excellent brand is Crown Prince Wild Caught Natural Alaskan Pink Salmon. The low in sodium variety that comes with only 50 mgs sodium. The can notes that it contains 1.5 grams of omega 3 oils per serving. There are about 3.5 servings per can.

A serving size is ¼ cup of salmon. It also comes in a variety containing more salt. To stretch a serving further, you can mix it with chopped vegetables and a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. That way you get a balance of the omega 3 and omega 6 oils from the fish and olive oil.

Another possibility is to add a tablespoon of grape-seed oil mayonnaise to canned fish such as sardines or salmon. Sardines also are good if they are wild caught and canned in water without added salt. An excellent brand is Brunswick sardines canned in spring water, no salt added.
There are already 200 mg of sodium per serving in the sardines, even with no salt added. A serving size of the sardines is one can drained, which contains one gram of omega-3 fatty acids per serving and also is a good source of calcium.

Risks and benefits of eating fish are hot topics. Then again, you can always buy a bottle of contaminant-free Carlson's cod liver oil or take two Nordic Naturals (no mercury) brand of fish oil capsules. The controversy surrounding farmed versus wild-caught fish is all about what the research tells you. Consumers often follow the money.

Look for the $4 cans labeled "wild caught" when you buy Alaskan pink salmon. They contain the overrun of the same king salmon that is sold as fresh wild-caught fish in supermarkets and marked up to $17 per lb. You'll find a variety of those cans in local grocery and produce markets that offer organic foods.

Are Farmed Fish Fed Rendered Cows?

What type of animal feed is safe from any risks of passing prions into both the human and animal food chain?

Farmed fish are being fed too high on the food chain. Instead of fish eating fish and seaweed, farmed fish commonly are being fed rendered cows and bone meal from animals that never lived in the oceans.

See the article, "You Are What They Eat" on animal feed at the Consumer Reports.org site. Also see the June 2009 article on farmed fish and what types of food that farmed fish are fed in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease by Robert P. Friedland, M.D.

There are a lot more details to know regarding animal feed. Some cows may be born with a gene variation that gives them a higher risk of later developing mad cow disease or of being carriers, passing that gene to other animals, or the prions to humans, without being infected with outward symptoms.

The quick solution to this dilemma is for government regulators to ban the feeding of cow meat byproducts or bone meal to farmed fish (and to other animals) until the safety or danger of this common practice can be ascertained. The basic problem is that farmed fish are not being fed what they normally would eat.

When restaurants buy farmed fish, or when you buy farmed fish from supermarkets, are there prions in the farmed fish that could cause mad cow disease in humans? According to a Science News article, published June 17, 2009, "Farmed Fish May Pose Risk For Mad Cow Disease," University of Louisville neurologist Robert P. Friedland, M.D., questions the safety of eating farmed fish in Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, adding a new worry to concerns about the nation’s food supply.

For those people anywhere in the world that have been diagnosed with fatal mad cow disease, did they get it from previous farmed fish meals or from beef? Are other prion-caused diseases of the brain, including Creutzfeldt Jakob disease caused by eating meat from infected animals?

Most consumers know it's not safe to eat fish that ate bonemeal. How long will it take to prove it? And is Alzheimer's also linked to what people eat? Who's studying prions in the brain related possibly to diet?

A press release on neurologist Robert P. Friedland's  research results, titled, "Farmed Fish May Pose Risk for Mad Cow Disease," appeared in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease  on June 16, 2009. Based on his research, he and his team question the safety of eating farmed fish that are fed byproducts rendered from cows.

Recently, Dr. Friedland also has been working on the patterns of disease occurrence, including risk and protective factors, with studies of the Kikuku in Kenya, Jews and Arabs in Israel, and Caucasian and African-American subjects in Cleveland.  Friedland and his co-authors suggest farmed fish could transmit Creutzfeldt Jakob disease--commonly known as mad cow disease--if the farmed fish are fed byproducts rendered from cows.

The scientists researching the question of whether there are prions in farmed fish urge government regulators to ban feeding cow meat or bone meal to fish until the safety of this common practice can be confirmed.

“We have not proven that it’s possible for fish to transmit the disease to humans. Still, we believe that out of reasonable caution for public health, the practice of feeding rendered cows to fish should be prohibited,” Friedland said. “Fish do very well in the seas without eating cows,” he added.

Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (CJD) is an untreatable, universally-fatal disease that can be contracted by eating parts of an animal infected with bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE or mad cow disease). An outbreak in England attributed to infected beef prompted most countries to outlaw feeding rendered cow material to other cattle because the disease is so easily spread within the same species.

The risk of transmission of BSE to humans who eat farmed fish would appear to be low because of perceived barriers between species. But, according to the authors, it is possible for a disease to be spread by eating a carrier that is not infected itself. It’s also possible that eating diseased cow parts could cause fish to experience a pathological change that allows the infection to be passed between the two species.

“The fact that no cases of Creutzfeldt Jakob (CJD) disease have been linked to eating farmed fish does not assure that feeding rendered cow parts to fish is safe. The incubation period of these diseases may last for decades, which makes the association between feeding practices and infection difficult. Enhanced safeguards need to be put in place to protect the public,” Friedland said.

What if any prions remain in the fish's digestive tract? All you need is one molecule, and the prion will replicate itself. Fish or any animal infected with prions also might be a carrier without getting symptoms. That's one way prions might possibly get into the human food chain.
There are three major categories of CJD: sporadic CJD, hereditary CJD, and acquired CJD. There have been 163 deaths from Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (CJD) in the United Kingdom attributed to eating infected beef. Bovine spongiform encephalopathy has been identified in nine Canadian and three U.S. cattle.

There's a food safety problem with feeding animal by-products that contain mad cow disease prions in meat and bone meal. Yet rendered cow meat and bone meal is routinely fed to farmed fish. A few years ago people even fertilized vegetable gardens and fruit trees with bovine bone meal.

There is no single diagnostic test for CJD yet. The only way to confirm a diagnosis of CJD is by brain biopsy or autopsy. Whereas CJD can be transmitted to other people, the risk of this happening is extremely small. There is no treatment that can cure or control CJD.

Patients are made comfortable and given opiates to relieve pain. Other drugs relieve the muscle jerks.

You'll still see calcium or mineral supplements containing bone meal from animals. How do you know the animals didn't carry a gene for mad cow disease or had been infected with it or some other disease fatal to humans? You've seen flu jump species from bird and pig to human, why not mad cow disease prions from cows to humans? Of course the mad cow prions jumped species from cow to human.

Can they jump from cow to fish to human?

Prions for mad cow disease can't be killed by cooking. Research will eventually confirm or deny whether fish can pass along mad cow disease based on whether the fish ate rendered meat or bone meal from cows infected with mad cow disease. Meanwhile, the nation's food supply is at risk as evidence mounts.

How do farmed fish get the prions in their flesh that are then eaten by humans so that the fish and the human comes down with mad cow disease? It's a genetic mutation within a gene called the Prion Protein Gene that causes mad cow disease.

Prion proteins are proteins expressed abundantly in the brain and immune cells of mammals. The questions researchers are trying to answer is whether prions are found in farmed fish after the fish consume meat or bone meal containing prions from cows that are carriers but not infected themselves.

Another issue being researched is whether the meals that the fish are fed contain prions that the fish pass on to human consumers. And is it possible or not that humans can get mad cow disease from consuming farmed fish?

If mad cow disease actually is a genetic  mutation in the cow, can a cow that doesn't become infected with mad cow disease act as a carrrier, and still pass on the prions to humans to cause mad cow disease in people or other animals--from farmed fish to chickens?

It's not only the ongoing research on whether farmed fish are transmitting diseases to humans--diseases that range from mad cow disease to possibly Alzheimer's or other brain diseases theoretically caused by prions. Think of commercial pet food also made up largely of meat by-products.

It's easy for pet food to get into the human food chain by handling pet food and touching one's mouth, nose, or eyes, or handling human food in the same room, dishes, or dishwasher, or transfering fluids or dust from canned or dry pet foods to human foods.

For now, the question is whether farmed fish contain mad cow disease prions. That's what Dr. Friedland and his co-authors want consumers to know about as the research continues. The goal is to see whether it's safe or not to feed farmed fish rendered cows. The research team so far thinks it's not safe but will continue researching to confirm or not confirm safety beyond a doubt.

Dr. Friedland wants consumers to know that scientists have not proven that it’s possible for fish to transmit the disease to humans. But researchers want consumers to be cautious. The warning is out of reasonable caution for public health. Friedland believes rendered cows should not be fed to fish. Friedland explained, "feeding rendered cows to fish should be prohibited.”

His group also is using animal models to better define the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease and develop new treatments. Dr. Friedland has documented a series of important determinants of the disease, including physical and mental inactivity, smoking and diet. This work has focused on interactions of genetic and environmental lifestyle elements.

Who's studying the health of the rendered cows that are currently fed to farmed fish? Creutzfeldt Jakob disease is an untreatable, universally-fatal disease that can be contracted by eating parts of an animal infected with bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE or mad cow disease).

According to "Farmed Fish May Pose Risk For Mad Cow Disease," the mosts recent outbreak in England attributed to infected beef prompted most countries to outlaw feeding rendered cow material to other cattle because the disease is so easily spread within the same species.

Now people eating farmed fish have to worry not only about the hormones and antibiotics given to the farmed fish to make them grow faster, or the pollutants and insecticides in the farmed fish. Now consumers have to worry about the rendered cows, those meat byproducts fed to the fish that might be full of mad cow disease prions.

The barriers between species could be breaking down. But scientists will have to study how a disease jumps from one species to another. Rather than rely on a prion mutating, a person could get infected from a fish even if barriers between species are perceived as low.

Maybe the infection barrier between species is no longer low if the fish eats the sick mammal or infected cow as ground meal byproducts, and then the human eats the sick farmed fish? If a disease infects a fish that once infected a cow, could that disease also infect a human?

It's easy for a disease to jump between a cow and a human. Mad cow disease spread to humans through infected cows that might even have a gene variant that makes them susceptable to mad cow disease.

The risk of transmission of mad cow disease, also known as BSE to humans who eat farmed fish could be higher than most people thought. According to the authors of the research, "it is possible for a disease to be spread by eating a carrier that is not infected itself. It’s also possible that eating diseased cow parts could cause fish to experience a pathological change that allows the infection to be passed between the two species."

According to the press release, Friedland notes, "The fact that no cases of Creutzfeldt Jakob disease have been linked to eating farmed fish does not assure that feeding rendered cow parts to fish is safe."

Scientists know it takes decades, sometimes up to 30 years, for certain brain diseases similar to mad cow disease infections to incubate in a human. Most people don't make the association between what meat they ate and what that animal or fish ate before it was cooked or sold in the market. When you go out to a restaurant for a fish sandwich, do you think that the farmed fish in the sandwich contains mad cow disease prions or similar infections?

Dr. Friedland and the authors of the research studies would like consumers to know that "enhanced safeguards need to be put in place to protect the public.” People in Europe that came down with mad cow disease after eating infected beef never had to wait very long. Certainly not for decades.

Those people that caught mad cow disease in Europe didn't have to wait 30 years between the time they ate the beef and the time they came down with Creutzfeld Jakob, the human form of Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease).

In recent years, mad cow disease, always fatal in humans and cows, also has been identified in nine Canadian and three U.S. cattle.

The moral compass of this finding is that farmed fish need to be fed safer foods, and in the meantime, eat wild-caught fish from some ocean areas that are relatively cleaner than others.
Even wild-caught fish can be bought in cans, without added salt, because they are canned from the overrun of wild-caught fish.

Worse yet, some commercial chicken ranches feed their chickens rendered cow meat and bone meal. When you buy organic chicken, do you know what they were fed? All you know is that they weren't given hormones or anti-biotics if the label says so.

What are turkeys fed? You are told that they're not getting hormones. But what else is in the food animals eat if you're eating the animals?

Think about whether cows were fed grass or grain. They should have been grazing on grass. Cows shouldn't be feeding on bone meal and rendered other cows. And dogs/cats shouldn't be eating meat byproducts that have been genetically altered and then injected with all types of chemicals, hormones, or antibiotics.

Be aware of what the animal ate and what hormones, antibiotics, and insecticides that animal absorbed before you ate it. If you're a vegetarian, ask what herbicides, genetic alterations, or insecticides went into the plants you eat. At least you'll know what's going into your body. And the research continues on whether farmed fish present a mad cow disease problem.

If a loved one has come down with CJD, you might wish to contact a disability attorney of your choice in order to find out related information. Also some of the associations listed below may be able to direct you to the information you'll need.

Here's a thought and helpful links to consider--posed by viewer, Terry Singeltary: "Even if fish could not contract a transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE), disease, it would still be possible for the TSE agent to survive the digestinal tract. And then if that fish was added as an ingredient for feed, the agent could further spread to infect other species."
